We weren't talking about the game quality. We are talking about the service. Lol.Their last 2 games have been trash, but ok.

Still not working. lol. Can't even play Zero Hour because ofcourse season 1 launches with a data problem.
Honest question, who is doing live service well? Anyone? I'm genuinely asking.

They can...I assume some of the map makers from BF1 are still here. BF1 had some good maps. Hell, even BF5 had some good maps once the Pacific dropped.Fortnite and Apex live service are pretty good even though I don't particularly like them.
Games getting a little better, they should've had a team remaking old maps and rotating them in and out or something to at least try to show some goodwill, can't believe all this is coming so long after a broken release.
Atm 64 player conquest is the sweet spot and really like playing on the older maps, don't know if I have faith in DICE to make great maps anymore.
Played last night after not playing for a couple months, and was pleasantly surprised. Love the new map, and overall the game just feels better.Just checked the bf2042 subreddit. This place has been absolutely toxic and horribly negative all along. I couldn't even read there it was so bad.
Well, I check in and there's a lot of positive posts. This is from the really negative folks. I mean a total salt mine. Remember they had to shut down the Halo Infinite sub because it got so toxic.
The real test will be player numbers over the weekend (which are hard to measure on PC because you have to look across Steam, EA, even MS). I can't wait to see the Xbox numbers.
Still a ways to go, but trending in the right direction. Throw in a really thin fall, and this game can turn around. Even if MW is really fun, there's still going to be plenty of room for BF if it brings people back.
Game pass/PS+ is the next big thing. Give people the game for "free" and get those player numbers even higher.
New map is decent. Spent 2.5 hours playing it this afternoon, big improvement over launch maps.
Why am I the only who uses smoke when charging a flag? Makes no sense. 2.5 hours and didn't see anybody on either side use it. Criminal.
Haven't took much notice of up time, it is behind me before it dissipates. It lasts long enough so far.People are definitely sleeping on smoke. Although one thing I notice is that it seems to disperse very quickly (I thought it lasted longer in BF V). Still really good though. I use the AR with the launcher on it and always pick smoke. You're really not going to do much with explosives anyway other than take a few HP off a tank.
That Sfar AR seems really good too. Adding smoke is all the better.

I agree, 64 player conquest on the old Bad Company 2 and BF3 maps is good. But there isn't even any new portal maps for season 1.
Not a fan of the new specialist. She's as boring as Dozer. The new map is pretty good. I prefer using Sundance for her versatility. It's like this map was made for her. She's like Superman as far as flight goes.
You're right. An anti-vehicle option was desperately needed. The new map is beginning to grow on me a lot. I think because the terrain reminds me of Halo. It fits with the game's sci-fi theme. To be fair, a good anti vehicle option was desperately needed. The only chance you had before was someone having a soflam (which is a high level unlock).
It is a good counter to all those light vehicles running around the map.
Boring, but very useful.
Launch maps are just big spaces, they don't really provide anything.the inside parts of the map are awesome, its crazy none of the launch maps provided a nice infantry section of a map
Not in EA Play/Game Pass this month.
If they wanted season 1 to drive sales they should have done better. 1 good map isn't persuasive.Really disappointing. I'm not even seeing 2042 on the Xbox top 50 games played unless there's some sort of glitch. (it seems weird it isn't even on the list at all).
They need warm bodies in the game playing. Steam has it on sale for $30 but I think they need to get a lot more people playing. There seems to be enough players with crossplay but that won't last.
Anybody else think the BSV needs a bit of a nerf?
The BP progression via XP should cap out. Mine seems to have stopped at 4000 but I'm only like lvl 18/19.I'm having fun playing this again. The point system works as it should now. You can finally support your team and get points. The battle pass seems fine to progress (although I hear it slows down as you go on). Most of the content is crap but oh well.
