Air Raid Sirens go off. The Great War begins and lasts two hours
“Calling any station. Calling any station. Calling any station. This is OZ (Bridgeport). Please stand by.”
“Bridgeport, this is Concord (MA), message: Quabbin Reservoir is hit, repeat, Quabbin Reservoir is hit, over.”
(Boston is hit by a nuclear warhead. The NCRA was in the process of being updated with a situation report)
"National Catastrophe Relief Auxiliary Unit, Boston 314, 7 Emergency Message: NEW YORK STAGE 7 WASHINGTON STAGE 7 LOS ANGELES STAGE 7 AUSTIN STAGE 7 CHICAGO STAGE 7 NEW ORLEAN STAGE 7 LAS VEGAS UNKNOWN MIAMI STAGE 7 DALLAS STAGE 7 DENVER STAGE 7 SAN DIEGO STAGE 7 SAN FRANCISCO STAGE 7 BOSTO-"
(A vault technician opens 119 to any survivors of the initial attack. IT is possible 7667 is the code needed to enter the Vault)
“Calling all stations, calling all stations, calling all stations, this is Vault Technician 2510730 one six emergency Vault-Tec shelter for survivors in Quabbin, number 119, repeat, emergency Vault-Tec shelter for survivors in Quabbin, number 119, over”
(The radio operator who attempted to reach the NCRA realizes Boston is now gone and that there is no hope)
“Calling all stations, calling all stations, calling all stations. Boston is gone, I repeat, Boston is gone. No Hope. Frequency 3450 Return Transmission. Goodbye America.”
(Six days pass, and the Nuclear Winter occurs)

(The Survivor heads to the Institute for help)
”MY DEAR SISTER. I’M HEADING TO THE INSTITUTE. GOD KNOWS WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS PLACE NOW. THIS OLD BASTARD WILL HELP US. HE MUST HELP US. –0321–”
(The Institute refuses to help the survivor. He decides to venture to Black Row.)
THE INSTITUTE IS SEALED. THEY WON'T HELP US. I'M HEADING TO BLACK ROW. -NGQHT 5120-
(In the meantime, Vault 119 is being attacked)
"Calling all stations, this is overseer 119 emergency enemy unknown, SOS. Vault 119 Quabbin 7667, repeat, SOS, Vault 119 Quabbin 7667 enemy unknown."
(The attackers manage to breach the vault doors. The vault dwellers retreat to level 4.)
"Calling all stations, this is Vault Overseer 119, anybody near Quabbin? SOS Vault door breach, repeat, SOS Vault door breach, enemy unknown, level 1, 2, and 3 gone, survivors on (service lift to OR in secure location) level 4"
(The attackers manage to kill the overseer (whose code is 15334), who probably attempted to defend his vault dwellers and hold off the attackers. The attackers now attempt to breach Level 4)
"Calling all stations, this is Vault 119, SOS, Level 4 is under attack, Overseer is dead, repeat, SOS, Level 4 is under attack, Overseer is dead. We won’t make it."
(The Survivor has reached Black Row. They send our a Quick Response Force to help at Vault 119.)
"Calling Black Row Out Station. Ground is safe. Too Late. Level 4 breach. No survivors, 899 corpses. We are leaving Vault 119. Over, back to you."
Someone, presumably a synthetic humanoid (android), attempts to hack into the Overseer's computer but uses a wrong code - 15812 instead of 15334 -and the incorrect log-in marks the android as an enemy. The message below is left on the computer)
"THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT'S COMING. IT'S A KEY TO THE GREAT GAME"

Desmond Lockheart point lookout dlc

If kept alive, Desmond disappears from the game after you exit the Underground Lab upon completion of A Meeting of the Minds. If talked to beforehand, he will mention traveling north to pursue his next rival, another "player" in the "Great Game", a Post-War struggle between former geniuses and billionares.

”MY DEAR SISTER. I’M HEADING TO THE INSTITUTE. GOD KNOWS WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS PLACE NOW. THIS OLD BASTARD WILL HELP US. HE MUST HELP US. –0321–”

is the old bastard, desmond lockheart?
he is referred to that

sorry guys I just really like puzzles and this one is fun and deep

Fallout 3 and the DLC packs were FAR superior to NV and it's DLC.

Hell....Mothership Zeta alone > all NV content.
Point Lookout was also awesome!

I generally felt Fallout 3 was a better game (setting wise) & gameplay wise.

Fallout NV was good too....but the setting just didn't work for me. I loved the followers in NV though....Raul was my favorite.

Operation Anchorage was my favorite one, especially with that kick ass armor you get at the end! And the swamp/beach one was fantastic, i think it was point lookout.

I just hope that Fallout 4 is a bit darker than the last two. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the humor just as much as the next fallout fan, but I want something along the lines of the upcoming Wasteland 2 in terms of how dark the game is.

I want creepy antagonists, not creepy because they're batsh!t crazy super mutants. No, I want creepy as in "I'd love to check this radio signal out but maybe I should gear up better first". I mean creepy like the upcoming "The Evil Within".

Interesting. At first the hints seemed like gibberish to me, but now they are starting to come together. Thanks, starlight.

I am super amped for Fallout 4, dont get me wrong here. But Fallout 3 left me feeling super depressed at times. If it wasn't for the goofy moments I probably could not have made it through the game.

Pretty hyped, I've put way too many hours into New Vegas. Absolutely love retro future stuff so more Fallout is ALWAYS a good thing, and it was fun crafting your own story in your head about your character as you wandered around doing what you wanted. I miss that in videogames, too many have me as some elite squad/one man army and string me along a tunnel killing wave after wave of bad guy/terrorist. That more than anything kills my interest in videogames, I mean don't get me wrong if they're done well then I do enjoy them (Alan Wake, Uncharted). Though I think the fact neither of those games are "military badass argh muscle milk!" type games so that also factors in.

As clunky as some mechanics are in Bethesda's games, I love the fact they give you just enough information for you to follow in the story and leave the rest up to you to shape and create as you see fit. It's the kind of RPG that they more than any other company do best. People like talking about how their Commander Shepard is a total a-hole, but they're only a dick because of a few predefined actions you selected that in the grand scheme of his/her adventure don't mean much. My character in FO is a dick because I have done horrible unscripted undefined things because I wanted to, some of the actions came back to haunt/hunt me later in the game, others gained me unforeseen benefits. I've conversed with people and in that same breath shot those people in the head because I didn't like what they said. I love that freedom of choice.

Fun lunch with the team from Bethesda. Heard their new media strategy. Eye opening.

Interesting picture, there are 50 dots if counting the middle one, I was thinking states of America (some do say 52)
At first I thought was a record with bullet holes, also the way the dots are put seems to be some sort of code.

Edit: Did count again and there seems to be 50, not 49 as I first saw.

Ok I just hope it is not a hoax as some websites are now telling. I really liked the fallout series, even tho when it comes to story Fallout 3 had much to live up to compared to fallout 1 and 2.

The song, Van Dyke Parks – The Attic

I was there upon a four poster there.
Mind touseled I came to bear some thoughts from the past amid a dash of influenza.
And then I came to see in baggage the memories of truncated souvenirs.
The war years.
High moon I said high moon lighted high moon eye to my moon.

Far beyond the blue mist enveloped lawn the blanketed night comes on.
The champagne is dead and gone.
The forest around sensitive sound forest primeval. Through the panes cloud buttermilk war remains and twisted cross war refrains lunatic
so high moon I said high moon lighted high moon eye to my moon.

Your age will most probably carry away the letters enveloped in carrion.
Vague unpleasantries of the war. May your son's progenitorship of the state haphazardly help him to carry on.
God send your son safe home to you.
High Moon.
You're eye to my moon.

per Pete Hines and gstaff
NO, and I mean NO
Bethesda softworks/zenimax studio will be at the VGX
it may be streaming, but its not on live tv
I will not be watching VGX, now I do not have a reason

BUT pete never said the survivor site was fake, nor has gstaff

These sites better not be fake. Still waiting on the 11th.

There better be a Fallout 4. That has money written all over it. Fallout 3 and New Vegas were just awesome.

pete did say he would be in LA during that time period
I just realize that VGX is also in LA

If this is fake, we get together and lay on the hurt to those who would dare do this.

It's probably not, though. Bethsoft just needs to give the people what they want already: God damned confirmation. NOW NOW NOW! *twitches*
