Last Of Us PS4 Remastered (July 29)

Twisted Metal is really good, great level design and a lot better than black, not sure why people would hate on it. Just typically short though. Black on ps2 had horribe levels and just felt off.

Siren is a horror title, while White Knight is a RPG.

Then there is the Yakuza games with great semi open traversing, Folklore, Demon Souls, Ratchet games, Japanese Robot mech games, Light Gun Shooters (Resident Evil, House of the Dead, Time Crisis) and still more games :)

Shatter needs a sequel for PS4 as well.
 
I have no interest in this, but I suspect a good many people will be. I stand by my assertion that the gameplay sequences were not at all fun. Story was great though.

I'd do anything for Heavy Rain updated on PS4. Really want a sequel but don't think it will happen.

Don't forget Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls, Rain, Ni No Kuni, Tales of Xillia, Puppeteer.

Although I can't vouch for them myself, some people would also point you towards Metal Gear Solid 4, some of the Resistance games, maybe a Killzone, maybe Infamous, and the recent FFX remake, plus some other JRPGs, if you're into that. There are a couple of other good indies, too (e.g., unfinished swan, papo & yo).

from what i read it will not be somekind of enhanced version. it will just be the PS3 version on your PS4

as of this summer, The Last of Us will be on the PS4. Both on PSN and physically

Well if what was said is true then why deny it ? Summer is almost here. Only event between now and then is PAX and that is what, 2 weeks ? away. Unless it is late summer then they might get away with an E3 announcement.

I honestly do not care if it comes or not. The game was decent but certainly not worth a double dip. Once was enough for me.
 
I'll pick this up. I only played the PS3 version for a few hours.

It's in the article the OP quoted. "The first game will be released this summer for PS4 as a physical and digital copy, with enhanced graphics.”
 
Any included extra missions for those that have finished it back on PS3?
 
I'll be adding this to the list of games to pick up when I eventually get my ps 4.

So the other guy inserted a phrase that wasn't there? I don't speak Turkish, so who knows, but I would find that hard to believe. Also, I think it's a no-brainer that a port of a PS3 game to superior hardware would be graphically enhanced somehow, even if in minor terms like texture loading and framerates. We'll know more by E3, I'm sure.

the guy asks him after VP says its coming to PS4 "..and the graphic quality?" and the VP says "ofcourse". not very direct and concrete a statement as the GAF post will have you believe but still it can be taken that way. i would think it will just be 1080p/60fps of the same assets

Okay, thanks. Sounds like there's some ambiguity in the Q & A and in the interpretation.

I think it's quite likely that there will be graphical improvements to the game, rather than just a straight port of the raw game. I can't imagine bothering to take a standard-bearer like Last of Us and just making a raw port of the PS3 game, with none of the graphical improvements that the new hardware would allow. It just wouldn't make much sense. Sony wants to get people to buy a PS4, and they would also like some people to double dip. A straight PS3 port isn't going to do that. With a little extra effort, they can boast about improved graphics, which will take the marketing a lot further in this day and age.

We'll know for sure soon enough.
 
I am happy a lot of people are going to try this game out for the first time. It's an amazing experience. The gameplay isn't breathtaking, but the atmosphere, the story, and the characters make it one of the better gaming experiences of the last generation.

The opening scene goes right after it and the game doesn't let up. The second half of the game is unbelievably good, too.

It's hard to replay games like The Last of Us for me. The story was so raw and sincere and it really added to my experience. I am jealous of everyone getting to try this for the first time.
 
Though I greatly liked that the Trophy list in Last of Us went out of its way to not pop things up constantly and pull you out of the game immersion wise, I actually would kinda like a more standard version of trophies for the PS4 version, so there's more of a reason to play a second time.

Regardless, if it's 1:1 identical trophy-wise, I'll still get it.

Yeah I never had a PS3 but everyone I have spoken to states how mind blowingly AMAZING and complete this game is so I will try and pick a PS4 up for this!
 
Sony needs to port everything to the PS4, including Ico and SotC.

Yeah, I finished the game and only got like 3 trophies lol. I was like WTH.
