IMO it's a niche game. I don't expect it to sell well. I think the first one only sold a million.
Possibly. Now that it's hitting Gamepass, that's going to hurt the sales further.
So is it inevitable or is there a chance the studio stays alive ?

But Game Pass is profitable as is. MS wants revenue and profit.that's going to hurt the sales further.

Oh geez. See ya.It's now officially time for me to change my name to TDBanks24.
Gamers: WHERE IS A NEW FALLOUT and SKYRIM 2I don't think Microsoft has any idea what it is doing anymore regarding xbox. If they are going to go third party, just f***ing pull the bandaid off already.
Everything they do is so disjointed now regarding xbox.
He had some old school way of wanting to compete, wanting to keep everything exclusive and secure more exclusives/partnerships, many of which would’ve been Japanese devs….or so I vaguely remove from the leaked/court internal emailsI don't know why Booty still has a job.
He's just not good at his job.He had some old school way of wanting to compete, wanting to keep everything exclusive and secure more exclusives/partnerships, many of which would’ve been Japanese devs….or so I vaguely remove from the leaked/court internal emails
Guess he isn't a fan
That's right. He mentioned spending Sony out of business. He had some old school way of wanting to compete, wanting to keep everything exclusive and secure more exclusives/partnerships, many of which would’ve been Japanese devs….or so I vaguely remove from the leaked/court internal emails
How does this relate to Matt Booty?
I wonder if Ted in accounting brought it up or was it another exec higher up?That's right. He mentioned spending Sony out of business.
Which is easy to say when it isn't your money.
Yes, but he has to hit certain metrics, and those are usually mandated by someone above him. I imagine that came down from someone like Amy Hood and put him in an unwinnable situation. He isn't very popular. Less so after the emails down in the FTC case.
But he's in charge of Bethesda so likely him who decided what to do with each studio.
I was kidding! I haven't lost my mind! Yet.Oh geez. See ya.
I was too my friend.I was kidding! I haven't lost my mind! Yet.
I'm not sure how this equates to them going third party.I don't think Microsoft has any idea what it is doing anymore regarding xbox. If they are going to go third party, just f***ing pull the bandaid off already.

You can't blame it on the acquisition unless you know this wouldn't have happened without the acquisition, which nobody does. HiFi Rush just went to PS5 and sold poorly with people knowing in advance it was a great game, so clearly it isn't GamePass. This is such a stupid take.
So it's based on "some people posted" and "who knows". Which is my point. For all we know these studios could have been shuttered months ago if Zenimax was still independent.During the acquisition, I'm pretty sure some people posted about how MS could absorb these massive publishers' costs/expenses and boast about their massive piles of cash until things get more rosy.
Well guess what, 3 years into Zenimax acquisition, we got some of these studios last titles release when they were still being worked on. Would they have closed if they were still independent ATVI? Would they have closed even if they exceeded expectations of what a studio size Tango and Arkane Austin are expected to perform at ? Who knows but reality is MS has decided to close them, one for underperforming and the other even after exceeding. That's all we can react on right now in the moment. Damned if you do, damned if you don't vibes.
