I tried to get an invite...still hoping it'll be in my email today.

Sounds like they are going to have some new X1 stuff to announce...?

Keeping expectations in check, but still a *little* excited.

Got one from Lumia and I'm looking forward to seeing their new phones

Hopefully their band will actually be comfortable this time. The tech behind it was amazing and was priced really well, but the thing was uncomfortable for 80% of the people out there

Definitely in for the band 2. Possibly in for a sp4. Tired of lugging around my xps 15. The dell xps 12 has really caught my eye though haha.

I would think they would use this event to announce the official release date for the NXOE

I got the Lumia one as well. I would be looking forward to the Lumia information if I thought for one second either of the phones would eventually make their way to Verizon. MS and Verizon have the worst f***ing relationship...makes it so hard to get the best Windows Phones.

I'm curious about the band as well. Although, as far as heart rate monitors go, I didn't think any of the wrist wearing tech was accurate. I have an iron man watch the is connected to a chest strap heart rate monitor which is much better in terms of accuracy because it actually monitors constantly versus the average you get from the wrist ones.

I am interested in the sleep monitoring thing. I feel like I sleep like a log, but my wife thinks I may have sleep apnea. Could help identify that

NYC?! Maybe I can catch of glimpse of the Major himself. I'm sure the paparazzi will be terrible though...

I hope when they announce the new phones its not a long wait for Aus release. I need new phone now.

This event will be basically all about Microsoft. There will be Surface Pro 4, there will be Lumia 950/XL, there will be Band 2, but at the center of them will be Windows 10, possibly with stronger device synchronization of Threshold 2 (Windows 10 November update). I am also expecting to see some new Microsoft services debuting along with devices.

I'm in for a SP4! Hololens demo looked awesome too, *if* they can really reproduce that.

I wonder if the press is going to get any hands-on time with it?

With today's event, I'm sure lot of people would have thought, that Panos Panay guy must be really high.

Seriously though, the best tech keynote ever since Steve Jobs passed away.

The 950XL will be mine. MS need to stop making their phones exclusive to providers. Just make them available to as many as possible.

Fortunately they seem to be selling unlocked phones on Microsoft Store this time. Better yet, it seems to be a single model across all markets, except for Dual SIM version. Of course paying a huge price in one charge is daunting, but after all we all pay that price when on contract.

But is it a world phone? Can I get this unlocked from the MS store and use it on Sprint?

It is a single model across all markets, you buy a phone and it pretty much works everywhere, but except for CDMA-based carriers. CDMA techs are planned to be phased out earlier than GSM/WCDMA, which Verizon and Sprint uses, and Qualcomm is deliberately excluding these technologies from their all-in-one modem. I think if Sprint supports Voiceover LTE you can use 950/XL there, but far as I know they still don't, so you have to be on T-Mobile or ATT to use it.

So to me its a failure.
