I got the email this morning about their event tomorrow. The email had a Hololens header. They seemed to be excited about it.
I tried to get an invite...still hoping it'll be in my email today.
Sounds like they are going to have some new X1 stuff to announce...?
Keeping expectations in check, but still a *little* excited.
Got one from Lumia and I'm looking forward to seeing their new phones
Hopefully their band will actually be comfortable this time. The tech behind it was amazing and was priced really well, but the thing was uncomfortable for 80% of the people out there
I am interested in the sleep monitoring thing. I feel like I sleep like a log, but my wife thinks I may have sleep apnea. Could help identify thatI'm curious about the band as well. Although, as far as heart rate monitors go, I didn't think any of the wrist wearing tech was accurate. I have an iron man watch the is connected to a chest strap heart rate monitor which is much better in terms of accuracy because it actually monitors constantly versus the average you get from the wrist ones.
Over 110M devices now have W10
The 950XL will be mine. MS need to stop making their phones exclusive to providers. Just make them available to as many as possible.
But is it a world phone? Can I get this unlocked from the MS store and use it on Sprint?Fortunately they seem to be selling unlocked phones on Microsoft Store this time. Better yet, it seems to be a single model across all markets, except for Dual SIM version. Of course paying a huge price in one charge is daunting, but after all we all pay that price when on contract.

So to me its a failure. It is a single model across all markets, you buy a phone and it pretty much works everywhere, but except for CDMA-based carriers. CDMA techs are planned to be phased out earlier than GSM/WCDMA, which Verizon and Sprint uses, and Qualcomm is deliberately excluding these technologies from their all-in-one modem. I think if Sprint supports Voiceover LTE you can use 950/XL there, but far as I know they still don't, so you have to be on T-Mobile or ATT to use it.
