If anyone would like to show me the 360 numbers to prove my thinking wrong I'm ok to see that. Numbers can't be that high, the only thing I have seen is that a few posters at Gaf who live in those countries say that the console is in some stores and not selling in them apparently. But, that is as far as I have seen. Not much to go by I know, and maybe someone lying possibly, but that's all I have to go by.

found this random chart

Well, there we go. That puts x1 at 30 plus million. ;) jk

Yet you just admitted you have no proof for you line of thinking, and nobody is doubting that these others markets aren;t small. It is just the pure desire to deem them irrelevant. Look at your chart, .90 difference. Korea is one small market where MS dominated the PS3, no doubt helping to get that small lead.

Alll I am saying is that small markets add up to significant numbers when added together in large groups. 30+ would = Large group.

Let's make sure we understand what you are saying here. You are either saying that MS won't produce any more Xbox Ones for the other 50 countries they release to? Or are you saying that the Xbox One isn't going to sell more consoles than they are now by releasing in more countries? If any of the above is what you mean, then why would Microsoft release their console to any more countries? Not sure we are following you?

Who said the Xbox One will be magically more popular than the PS brand?

Sadly, their software wasn't ready for worldwide release. As they mentioned before, localizing the software, the Kinect language is quite a project for them.

No, I'm saying that releasing in more countries isn't going to magically allow them to produce enough for demand.

And wow, another reason Kinect was a big fat failure. GG MS.

I think people are over-emphasizing the PS4 advertising. I also find it a bit ironic how Titanfall was viewed by some as "not helping the Xbox One much" because it wasn't a true exclusive but yet some of the same people are saying that Destiny and Watchdogs will greatly help the PS4 when yet those games will be out on far more platforms.

Now, the PS4 advertising for Watchdogs and Destiny (in my opinion) would actually matter if the games were only coming to current gen consoles or if the last gen versions of those games were going to come out say a month or two after the current gen versions. But that's not going to happen. Watchdogs and Destiny are coming out to the PS3, Xbox 360, PS4, and Xbox One and all of the versions will come out at the same time. A great number of people who only have last gen consoles at the time of the release of Watchdogs and/or Destiny aren't going to spend $400+ just for a game that will be released on their last gen console(s) on the same exact date.

So yeah, I personally feel that people are over-emphasizing how much of an impact the PS4 advertising of Destiny and Watchdogs will help the PS4. The games are releasing on too many platforms on the same (release) date.

I didn't say it would greatly help, I said should help increase a bit further because of the promotion and TLoU: R dropping.

Based on the sales of Xbox One and the nearly 1 billion voice commands issued, kinect is a huge success.

I don't think his fastest selling comment was even his worst, does he still do these facts?

I think he's stopped spinning once the X1's momentum started decreasing. They're probably going to stay quiet for a bit until the megatons start dropping at E3.

Prove it :p:p

seriously, it is just that half random nature at which Nelson pumps out stats. :)
Hey...well...if the person that wants to claim that Kinect is a failure, there is nothing stopping him from producing facts that state otherwise. We are all open to his facts and official MS sources that state that Kinect is a failure.

We wait with open arms.

Just curious if it's voice commands on a per hour rate, or voice commands issued with a over the head mic?

The voice commands were through Kinect, not through the mic. However, I would be curious as to the separation of GAME voice commands (commands AND gestures in GAME), and commands on the dashboard....and commands in APPS.

How would MS even know? was thinking they don't track anything when it comes to Kinect? Seems to be just some wild guess.

They said they do track stuff through Kinect. They track voice commands, but not what you are saying.

MS they looking at my penis I know it
BTW, I can't find the original article/tweet/press release about the voice commands on Kinect for Xbox One. However, there is an article from last month that has this info it:

Mehdi acknowledged that the Respawn team pushed Microsoft to make its cloud-based game service better and to make improvements to things such as the controllers. He noted that 500 million voice commands have been issued via the Kinect motion sensor as gamers use voice controls for both their games and movie and television playback.

But I believe that is an old figure, because I remember seeing a larger number posted in an MS tweet or press release.

Nearly 20% of the Xbox 360 sales came from Europe/Middle East/Asia/Japan. Just over 15,000,000 consoles were sold in those markets.

But Europe also include France, Germany & UK? Anyway, I think rest of the region X1 launch will add maybe 10-15% of Sales. It will have impact. Launching in these area will not make MS exceed Sony, but stay a bit closer. Most people expect these places to sell more PS4, which is base on the information that PS4 outsold X1 in just about every region except maybe Brazil where PS4 cost significantly more. I am just pointing out what happen in reality.

I would presume PS4 is readily available in NA already, but PS4 is still selling out very fast where I lived.

MS have a lot of work to do if MS wanted to have a comparable Market share with Sony.

Anyway, I want to point out to Idlehand that many of the countries launched by Sony are NOT third world. Just to get it out of my mind.

If MS can't sell more units in 50 additional countries to make up most of the difference, then the people on these forums that say they can't, better go work for Microsoft so they can save the company billions of dollars trying to sell, produce and market the Xbox for those countries. Clearly Microsoft has no idea what they are doing.

Nearly 1 billion were "issued" because the Kinect couldn't understand the first 800,000,000.
