Some early impressions say it's a great game but it feels like BF3.5 than a completely new BF game.

Just looking at the videos....I'd say yeah, that's exactly what it looks like, which isn't a bad thing.

I remember saying saying some time ago, that BF4 wasn't next gen, that it looked like just a BF3 mod.

I can't wait to play the Bets to Battlefield, I know it's only on PS3, but it will be nice to see the graphics on this and the gameplay and then can compare it to the PS4 version when I get that at launch .

I saw the guy from IGN who said it looked terrible on PS4 trying to defend himself in one of their random videos last week. Pretty funny.

It certainly does NOT look terrible. Yes, you can tell it doesn't look as good as pc, but that was expected....but it certainly looks realllllly good.

Yeah, it's going to be a massive improvement for everyone playing on consoles.

Hell yeah, even if they kept the same resolution, but increased other goodies like textures, performance and amount of players on screen....that alone is good enough for me. Honestly, I thought BF3 on current console looked good.

I was just playing it on 360 a few days ago, and was shocked how great it still looks. After playing a lot of the jaggy-fest that is GTA5, it looked amazing.

Why do so many people get hung up on the eye candy? LOL. BF4 looks amazing past the graphics.

Maybe it is just me, but I struggled with the Battlefield 3 user interface for customizing your weapons. I was and am always so confused, that I gave up on customizing. I know I am probably in the minority here. I don't want BF to be COD, but I always found the UI for customizing your weapons in COD to be easier. Maybe I am missing something? Looking at BF4, it seems like it's the same?

I don't think you remember the interface for BF3 very well, it's completely overhauled for BF4. It was fairly annoying for BF3, as you had to scroll through everything individually. The drop downs show pretty much everything immediately in BF4, they've even made the menus easier for people using controllers.

I found some pictures for examples. You'll be able to see all the weapons in your class to choose from in one drop down menu:

Once you select a weapon, all of the attachment slots for that weapon are then available. Click into one of those, and you'll see all the options in one menu. The descriptions even show changes to the weapon performance this time, similar to other games (COD for example):

I wish there were shots of the menus for finding a game/server.

I was certainly surprised at how good bf3 looked on current gen as well. I mean the 360 has what is eqivalent to a x1900xt and only 512mb of ram.

Oooh...thank you. That does look promising and thanks for posting. I got so frustrated with the menu system in BF3 I gave up on the game. I just ran with the same weapon in every match. I know I could have spent more time learning it, but I swear I didn't get it.

I still feel like when watching these videos, there isn't any actual "team" play, it's lone wolfing and personally, I prefer team play, and it's nice the squads are five people now, but maybe if the commanders are good, it will feel more like a team.

My old days of BF2 league play are probably going to haunt me for the rest of my life...I've yet to have that experience re-created since 2005.
