So did MS with Kinect spying on us.

That's why I NEVER took that POS out of the box and bought a xbo the moment MS allowed xbo to work without kinect.

This is recording an actual voice chat, not randomly listening in on you while you are at home. That's what Kinect did which is creepy. This here is quite normal for anything you do outside of gaming, so to not have it in place here is long overdue as it is one of the first places inappropriate behavior shows up with no way of monitoring and stopping it - especially when you are dealing with millions of others users. Heck, they already do it with the messages you send. Why not this, too?

For a community to thrive, you have to be able to control what circulates through it. It might not be something you agree with but it's absolutely necessary for those who abuse this privilege, i think. With that said, there is always the telephone.

You beat me to it.

But it seems RDNA 3 is a geometry overhaul and fully RDNA 2 capable. No knee jerk reactions neither. Hmm...

Yeah, RDNA3 isn't a thing for either of these consoles. They still haven't even launched RDNA2 (launch on the 28th) and the odds are they are still working on design for RDNA3. I generally don't watch the videos posted here so maybe this one is different, but anyone suggesting even RDNA3 features is almost certainly full of s***, unless they mean features that will be in 3 because they're on earlier generations as well.

Then you should probably watch the video.

.....and FYI, Sony and AMD collaborated on the PS5's GPU. Meaning the feature set didn't exclusively come from AMD, as Sony had a hand in it, too. I mentioned this several times in my previous posts.......but you were so busy laughing.

That's not what they are saying for this Playstation thing. The Kinect, like any voice command device, has to listen to a degree in order to function.

This is Sony, or others, recording you in order to censor and control what you say, ffs. They literally say it. Can't wait to see how it's abused. Hope you don't express your opinion online.

Sound like every dictatorship & banana republic.

Both Google and Amazon does the same thing. So this is nothing new.
This isn't even close to the same thing. This is giving users the ability to record other people's conversations and using it any way they seem fit. People can use, and will use, this for devious reasons.

Technology on a future node in AMDs roadmap for 2022 that is a revision of tech they haven't gotten to market is not being released next month, full stop. Just stop.

That's the way of the world. You can't dodge it, so you might as well adapt to it. Aside from gaming online, there are very, very other few places to chat amongst millions of people where that verbal conversation isn't being monitored. If you feel like you're not going to be one of the ones abusing your privileged, then you shouldn't have a problem. It's actually pretty simple, really.

Then i guess you better control what you say to others then. LOL!

People so blinded by their plastic love that they argue for having their integrity spied upon being something that's best to just adapt to.

Only on Union (shawn-edition).

So, you're saying, if you're not doing anything wrong, you shouldn't have anything to worry about?

Nice apology for something scummy Sony is doing. My bet, Sony reverses course.

They haven't reversed course on messaging a person, and that's been going on for quite sometime now - like PS3. So i doubt they'll pull the lever on this one. Like I said, if you aren't one of the ones that take pleasure in abusing their privileged, then you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

You reeeallllyyyyyy want to go down that slippery slope of "If you don't break the law you have nothing to worry about?" Your apology for this is horrific.

I'm not apologizing. I'm simply telling you how the world works. For such a feature to be put in place, someone was abusing their privileged, and those individuals obviously ruined that for everyone else - not just in the gaming industry but everywhere else, as well. So now the ax has to come down to create some sort of structure. If you fear that change, then you probably have good reason to.

Yes, I have a good reason. It's called privacy. Like I said, your apology is horrific.

Ah, how easily we wear our shackles. Yall should read the Gulag Archipelago to see how far that mentality goes. It's not the government but in some ways that's worse. It's the reason I'm not a Libertarian.

There is a role for government to make sure these companies dont get out of control. Even worse though, is when the proliferation of some companies actually has an effect on the free flow of information. Makes me sick.
