Power means less when you're invested in the brand, seeing how the support regarding bc is going forward I'd think that's where it's going to be for many.

This I'll also say- I don't care who sells more consoles. At all. I only care so that I know my console of choice will be supported. I want them to be profitable and they are. I want a good machine that can provide me with as much capability as possible .

Other than that noone should care that a giant Corporation sells more units than another. They don't care about you. If as anything you should want them on the ropes so they don't get complacent and we see constant innovation due to competition.

Doesn't change my point. Developers are people, and we don't know if this person had sufficient contact with either system (and I'd bet they use different teams for each console). What kind of engineer?
Front end, back end, audio, graphics? Should I use that dumbass dude making the snide pro xbox tweets who made that poor man's Echo the dolphin?

Again, he's sharing news, not endorsing the perspective. He had his own analysis of what he knows.

Who cares about the other guy trolling XB with the news?
We got s***s tons of xboys do the same all over including here.

He showed his perspective and it's basically the same as what I and others have been saying... especially the RAM part.

Ok, bro. But just realize you are no different than them. I'm not them which is why I don't use that douchey xbox dev.

I'm talking about Red Tech because he doesn't act like he knows stuff he doesn't while still being a very knowledgeable tech guy.

And the dude was fired because he put his studio in the spotlight, not necessarily because he was right or knew what he was talking about.

Not one of us knows enough about the way these machines where designed or what they did to alleviate bottlenecks. All anyone can do is try to find analogs, but these machines are custom.

You can act like one of the fanboys, or you can accept that you don't know enough yet. Because you dont, and one or two random developers saying one thing or another doesn't mean anything.

plus that guy was talking as he knows about the Xbox developing kit which Phil said in that interview not to long ago that no one has it yet.

Do you have a link saying why he got fired?

Cause my research shows that right after getting fired his positions at Crytek(as in more than one) were posted.
His resume of what he has worked on can be easily found.


Not being a blind fanboy I can use common sense says if someone says something that goes viral with NDA's in place and MS likely bitching to Crytek.
Somebody is getting fired.

I know a lot of people keep bringing up that they are worried that the consoles won't make it out this holiday, I just double checked and the PS4 didn't enter mass production until early September of 2013 so as long as there are no issues getting the parts that are going into the machine ready we should be fine. They really don't need to worry about a killer app at launch, new consoles sell themselves so if a planned big 1st party launch game gets pushed back a few weeks/2 months it's not the end of the world.

Resetera has two threads going about the DS5 that I've seen and one of them is 93 pages long already lol. If you look at the Xbox and PlayStation IG accounts the PS account has over double the amount of followers 23.6 million to MS's 10.3. This is the first image we've gotten of any PS5 hardware and in 12 hours it's already surpassed anything related to the XSX on the Xbox page.

I have to say I like the name "Dual Sense" it fits what they are trying to do with all of the different feedback features and it just makes it sound like it's something a little more than a standard controller.

Lmao at comparing IG likes and followers, PlayStation has more then double the playerbase so it's kind of a given.

Anyway controller actually looks pretty sweet and might fit a bit comfier in the hand then DS4.

It's not comparing as in a 'Haha" it's just showing which one is getting more interest at the moment, the PS5 controller in half a day got more likes than anything the XSX has gotten in 3 weeks to nearly 4 months depending on which one you look at.

It's perilous for Sony if they can't get Knack 2 out on launch day. (Would make the corresponding XB joke but Kinect Sports Rivals or whatever it was isn't worth the effort.)

So what IF the actual console was that same color setup, and it actually looked like the dev kit. That would be a pretty fun looking console setup IMO.

PlayStation's Instagram has 23 million followers, which is in double the countries. Xbox's Instagram has 10 million followers, which is in half the countries. NOT A SINGLE PERSON saw that coming. Ever.
 
Like the look of the PS5 controller including the colour scheme. Glad to see they’ve got rid of the big light from the dual shock 4, I like to play in the dark and found it distracting.
 
Bill Stillwell, formerly of Xbox, has been making rounds on podcasts lately. He finds the articles and rumors of Seriex X bottlenecks entertaining. Maybe that's how we should look at them too.
 
This thread has taught me that Xbox invented video game controllers. The more you know.

Elite maybe. Default not so much.

And even if you feel they did they didn't so without adapting the ideas of other controllers before it including the DS4. That is how it works.
