Well, like I said before, Minecraft is on the other platforms. Sony is using Azure, Phil wants Game Pass on its competitors' platforms in addition to wanting to be the Netflix of games, so something like this isn't all that surprising to hear. This is like the 3rd person that's been giving out subtle hints about this. I honestly don't think it is as clean cut as people are making it out to be.
Minecraft is on other platforms, and during the purchase, the intent was to keep it that way and they said so. Tell us which of these studios have games announced for PS that were not in the Zenimax purchase. Some were purchased as recently as 2018, and used to have games on PS*:
- 343i
- Turn 10
- Coalition
- Playground Games
- Ninja Theory*
- Compulsion Games*
- inXile*
- Obsidian*
- Rare
- Undead Labs
- Worlds Edge

There is a good reason that MS and Bethesda ONLY said they will support PS fans going forward with two specific games, Fallout 76 and Elder Scrolls Online. Pretty sure you can figure out why they didn't mention future games.

Makes sense. You buy a company for their games and in order to attract more gamers to their platform they would need to make all their games exclusives. Just happy to be able to play them on PC if I find a title attractive enough for me. Never played or got into Elder Scrolls or Fallout.

Day one edition for Xbox One were on store shelves months after launch & xbox one has to be a bundle with goodies or discount to even sell, while PS4 was empty (at least here in Germany back in 2013). I don't think MS needs to worry about matching Sony in the volume of consoles, not at least after the first 3 months or so.

Delayed and yet, Phil Spencer said he had the new Xbox Series X (not the dev kit) in his house in December 2019. Weren't chips and hardware finalized in 2H 2019 last year for both consoles?
All this marketing talk... it was 12 v 10.3 tflops earlier in the year and now it's shifted to FULL RDNA2 features.

We're going to find out this was due to hardware ML...IMO. The fact these APUs were going to sit in the Azure racks and be used as multi-purpose by enterprise (in addition to gaming) meant that they had to be as advanced in hardware ML efficiency as possible. This could or could not matter for game development. I think it will matter long run. Trigger has quite a bit of slack. Seems like a lot of creep and doesn't have a very clean break. There's a lot of over travel too.
Time to update to a Geissele trigger pack or Maybe a Timny. Might even want to get a flat trigger if your into that thing.

But I'm having a hard time seeing why they spend that money and still keep pumping out games for the rival platform...I guess you could say they don't want to lose sales, but if that was the case, wouldn't they already be shipping their first party games to playstation?
I definitely see them putting the games out on steam etc, or perhaps try to force epic and valve to go Gamepass or nothing.
I just can't see them putting the games on playstation (except ESO and Fallout 76 that already have a gathering). Streaming on nintendo console prob will happen though.

Correct. MS already said they are not doing cross platform games anymore with first party studios.
Sadly I can see it but it will piss me off if they do.
Let PS have it's own games and XB it's own.
MS needs to be aggressive If those games were only on XB/PC...people will buy a XB to play them as those franchises sell great.
I would say it's more intentional and software related to mimic pulling a real trigger.
