I played it in quality mode on XSS. Looked great, played great, performed great, was great.
Was talking about XSS. The Switch is in its own niche market that it's dominating, but those resolutions are eye opening. Might not look as bad on the portable screen though. Wonder what the native screen resolution is on that.
I did, but it is easy to do when you aren't pixel counting or actively looking for every small flaw.
50 hours playing that game and I never noticed res changes once.
I ended up with 45 hours in the game, and never noticed any screen tearing or res issues on my Series X. Granted, I didn't stand there and look straight up and then look straight down as fast as I could to try and force a screen tear.
I would have loved the game at 540p on an Xbox 360. Game play > graphics.

Only time I've really was bothered with clarity was in Skyrim where the res could drop as low 800x700 something, looked like a ps2 game lol
Otherwise it's not really a big deal, sure it's not sharp but it's also pretty small.
If I didn't already own the xsx version of Immortals through My Home Xbox "hack" I'd go switch portable with this game, it's a cartoony game so the downgraded graphics shouldn't really bother me.
I can put into words for you if you prefer.
You can pixel count, have interest in the technical analyses of games AND have fun playing the game. Go figure.
To be honest, I was watching my roommate play Forza Horizon 4 on his Xbox One S. And it still looks f***ing beautiful.

Our wonderful video game hobby is becoming too much like politics. So much time invested/wasted by grown ass men trying to prove each other wrong. Everyone waiting on that big gotcha moment.
Everyone has an opinion, I'm just here to express mine. Just so happens there's a lot more Xbox fans here so just trying to clear through the FUD. I do enjoy the little community here and have no ill feelings towards anyone on this forum.
That's why I ignore 90% of the tribalism in video games and just have fun. Unlike politics, I can tune out of the console wars nonsense and not feel bad. There's nothing important in these discussions, and honestly I pop in and mostly have no clue what people are even arguing about.
I'm not even really talking about us. This is just for fun.
I'm talking about the Twitter warriors trying to disprove actual engineers.
Twitter and Facebook is absolutely horrible. Worse than gaf and resetera IMO.
Just silly people trying to validate spending $500 on a next gen machine pushing last gen numbers.
