He is a oof.

Lolz @posting him as a source

So basically we don't know if the PS5 has ML hardware accelerators yet Miles already has ML tech support in its game while Xbox has yet to show anything... That's an oof.

The people some of you here post are xbotz not xbox fans and their is a difference.

Makes me wonder if that paints you as xbotz for listening to them.

Xbox Series X is more suited to machine learning than PS5 says David Cage

Xbox Series X may have one additional advantage over Sony’s PlayStation 5 console: machine learning.

In an interview with WCCFTech, Quantic Dreams CEO David Cage revealed that the design of Microsoft’s Xbox Series X gives it the advantage in machine learning compared to the PlayStation 5.

Cage revealed that while the slightly better CPU and beefier GPU of the Xbox Series X gives Microsoft a slight edge over PS5, it’s really the machine learning capabilities of the Xbox console that may help it succeed against PlayStation’s faster SSD.

“The shader cores of the Xbox are also more suitable to machine learning, which could be an advantage if Microsoft succeeds in implementing an equivalent to Nvidia’s DLSS,” Cage explained.

However, the PlayStation-focused developer also explained that Sony has consistently punched up to deliver great looking games on not-so-powerful hardware in the past.

“I think that the pure analysis of the hardware shows an advantage for Microsoft, but experience tells us that hardware is only part of the equation: Sony showed in the past that their consoles could deliver the best-looking games because their architecture and software were usually very consistent and efficient.”

In a previous interview, Cage explained that he believes the split nature of Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S is confusing for consumers and developers.

So Cage doesn’t count? I remember when he bled blue.

Cage counts, so does DiCarlo. It's also a fact that PS5 is the only console showing any ML capability right now with Miles new update that released a couple days ago. Pretty interesting since it was Xbox which is supposed to have the ML advantage. At least now we know that the PS5 can do ML as well.

Well we do know that XSX is built better for ML than the PS5 though, according to Cage.

Coming from one of the true Xbots here parading the wrong tflops numbers around, hysterical.

I see, so many PC gamers sacrifice resolution for higher framerates. That makes sense especially for action games like shooters. I didn't know that even the most powerful PC hardware can't or struggles to output at 4k with a very high framerate.

I have no idea what gaming is like at a framerate higher than 60hrz because that's the max output for my TV. But going from 30 to 60 was a big jump for me. Its also something that I feel has a greater impact on gaming over resolution. I guess I'm just confused of console gamers obsession with resolution over framerates. It could be marketing combined with a lack of knowledge.....at least for me. But I will say I don't like the idea of further resolution reduction to say 1080p for 120hrz gaming. I just don't like the idea of going back to 1080p for such a high framerate but as I said I've never experienced anything above 60 so I can't say for sure what I'd prefer.

Thanks, man. I really appreciate you taking the time to provide a little insight into PC gaming in comparison to console gaming.
Many PC gamers also sacrifice graphical flourishes for those framerates too. I still appreciate that 4k image/ graphics over 60 frames for most games.

I'd also say that most PC gamers don't have 4k monitors, and it would be a waste of resources to run at 4k. Sub 4k on a 65 in 4k tv is very noticable, imo.

But you also don't have to sacrifice anything, you can build or buy a machine to your liking and needs.
