Also I think I read somewhere that Flight Sim may still be coming to the X1 at a later date?

It is.....via the Cloud.

"We're excited to see developers realize their visions in ways that only next-gen hardware will allow them to do. For the millions of people who play on Xbox One consoles today, we are looking forward to sharing more about how we will bring many of these next-gen games, such as Microsoft Flight Simulator, to your console through Xbox Cloud Gaming, just like we do with mobile devices, tablets, and browsers."

Which lines up with there no gamer left behind. They are not strapped down to the 2013 Xbox One OG. You can play the next gen Starfield on your Xbox One OG. Pretty slick way to extend the life of the console and allow the existing 60-70 million Xbox One owners a chance to play newer games.

Guess that means these games don't count anymore.

Too bad because I was hyped.

Yup, still waiting for those Xbox fans that said Miles doesn't count to answer if Halo Infinite and Forza Horizon 5 will count because they are also cross gen at release.

They say one thing but when the same logic gets applied to the Xbox side, crickets.

Also I think I read somewhere that Flight Sim may still be coming to the X1 at a later date? Will that go from counting to not counting then when it is official? 😜

I agree. The big problem is the double standards I see from certain posters. Flip flops if you will to suit an agenda.

Pot and the kettle calling each other the n-word.

Oooo, so add another reason for those owners to stay on the X1 rather than buy the new XS consoles.

So since those next gen games are going to be playable on last gen, does this mean they don't count as well now going by the metric that Miles doesn't 🤔?

I guess any way MS can make that 💰, good on them 👍

Yup. Or just play on their Android. Or their iOS. Or their TV with built in Xbox app. Or their Microsoft Windows PC. Or their Xbox One. Or their Xbox Series X/S.

Whatever the consumer desires, besides PlayStation. Billions of devices to choose from.

So where is this info? You keep rambling on but offer nothing. steam is not the only retailer, and if we use sales as popularity then steam is worthless.

Lets start small, what sale number does a game have to reach to be popular?
You must have missed what I said. You never get exact numbers IRL. You can however make an educational/mathematic deduction with a margin of error.

If we use the stream example. If we have a game released on steam, as well as other consoles. If we have the % of sales base on the platform, we can have total sales since we have the PC number.

Game A
1) Stream number= 1000
2) 75% sales on consoles , 25% PC
Solving, Total sales = 4000

If we have another game that is released on stream & the same consoles. We can then make an educated guess of the total sales base on their relative sales on Steam. There is obviously a margin of error, & the more info you have the margin of error can be reduced.

Game A
1) Stream number=1000
2) 75% sales on consoles , 25% PC
Game B
3) Stream number =500

Solving, we can estimate Game B sell 2000 total

The same principles are used iRL to get sale numbers & cost estimation in daily work.

Popularity is subjective, for context, I said Sim is not as popular on console relative to other popular genres like (hack and slack, shooter, action-adventure, RPG). If you want a number, maybe at least 10% of the top 5 genres.

I never did the Math if you want to be critical. I am just ballparking base on what's common on top-selling charts.

Well at least you called Miles an expansion. Others have called it DLC.

If Spiderman 2 is in the same city, similar controls, would you call it an expansion too? Doesn't make sense. Call it what it is. If it's a DLC or expansion, the devs will say so.

I call it a game since the new content is there that can last up to tens of hours and you're not playing as Peter Parker. You have new powers and abilities. You're playing a completely different story.

Yes, I'm happy Xbox fans finally have something to look forward to.

They only charged $50 for it at launch, $20 off the new normal price, so it is pretty clear they weren't selling a full game. Miles clearly isn't Spiderman 2, and isn't meant to be.

I didn't miss anything.

But it is pretty clear your statement wss just made up BS.

Nice. PC for me.

So what about the second part of my post? Do these count or not count now that they will be playable on last gen? 😉

Team Bloober also "only" charged $50 for the Medium at launch, $20 off the new normal price, so according to you, it's pretty clear they are not selling a full game then?

Correct. Miles is a standalone game in between Spiderman 1 and 2. Kind of like Lost Legacy but on a bigger scope and they priced it accordingly.

If its 30% off does that mean it counts as 70% of 1 game?

That's just simply not true. Even without an exact number, there is no argument stimulation ain't as popular as another popular genres, and popularity is a subjective term anyway.

But I am done with this topic. I am not here to change mind, & but I its clear very few here care about objectivity anyway, Everyone just wanted to be right.

Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition loading times.

Are these console versions ports from the PC? If so, then it kind of makes sense that PC is the fastest at loading here because it's just brute forcing it from the higher end specs.

Find it hard to believe loading still takes that long when we already have next gen console games that have no loading screens and can load as fast as 1-2 seconds.

Really? GT Sport sold over 10 million.

Yea, you're don'e with the topic cause you're wrong.

I missed GT sport & forza. My bad

Well,. I never thought of either Forza or GT as sim initially my statement ( I was thinking about games like Euro truck & bus simulator & the likes)until you mentioned, then, you have a point. I give you that.

I am not so anal that cannot admit being wrong when I am.

I am wrong here.

(But in fairness, as clarification, I always seek truth given information I have (as opposed to mix and match to fit some agenda), but I can be convinced with reason and more information.)
