Surely they’ve had plenty of time to test some and at least tell you what particular SSD’s at least work. Not to give you a list of specs and say go spend $250 + and if it doesn’t work it’s nothing to do with us. I’m sorry but that’s just not good enough.
So giving you the option to choose which SSD you want is a bad thing now?

Also, this is an optional thing. You are not required to swap your SSD if you don't feel comfortable. You can swap it if you feel confident and tech-y enough and have done your research. Besides, I'm sure when this is all official, you will get a list of all the budget, mid tier or high tier compatible SSD's being recommended all over social media and reviewers like DF. Like, I'm already fairly confident I can do this swap just by reading the very detailed instructions. I will probably supplement it with a YouTube video if anything before actually doing it myself.
