On paper, the M1 Max chip maxed out with 32-cores of GPU can tackle more teraflops of graphics than Sony's PlayStation 5, which maxes out at 10.28 teraflops. Notebookcheck's numbers are based on estimations and not real-world testing, but until the new laptops begin arriving in the hands of customers next week, they are all we have to rely on. As noted by YouTuber ZoneOfTech on Twitter, the M1 Max chip can also read up to 7.4GB per second, higher than the PlayStation 5's 5.5GB read speed.

I don't use it but have a friend who loves it.
His issue is games he likes leaves the service.
That isn't enough. If MS thinks 1 new AAA title a month is enough then this service isn't going to be as successful as they think. Niche stuff like Scarlet Nexus and failed games like Avengers isn't getting people to sign up in droves.
You say "those games make it worth it" but do they? It might be enough to keep what they have, but there is a reason why day 1 games still sell so well. Only a small portion of the consumerbase like either Horizon or Halo, that portion shrink massively for those who like both. Plus, Halo's MP is F2P anyway.
Simple fact is they aren't offering enough. 18-20 mil subs is only a third of the X1 consumer base, or a fifth of the 360 consumer base, and this service is on 2 gens of Xbox, and PC, and mobile.

Back4Blood, Forza and Halo would have been no-brainer buys for me so that's $180 already and that doesn't count the bunch of other games I've played. I'm still on that cheap deal we got ages ago so I don't even know what I paid per month but it is super cheap and easily well worth it. Game Pass also gives me Destiny 2 on Xbox for now too.

Minecraft is also being added to PC Game Pass this fall, as well as Age of Empires. That is on top of Back4Blood, Forza Horizon 5 and Halo Infinite Campaign. Shredders, Scorn, Hello Neighbor 2 and Gunk also coming this fall.I wasn't aware that Horizon and Halo don't count anymore.

No one has ever said exclusives didn't matter at all. People have only argued that it isn't the only metric for success, which it isn't. Obviously if it wasn't a major factor MS wouldn't even bother making first party titles and studio acquisitions.
