The "8K support" is probably the equivalent of 1080p support on the PS3/Xbox 360. Few and far between in game support.
Agreed completely, and that goes for XSX as well. Just marketing crap, although a few years in they will probably squeeze out a few 8k/30 games.
PlayStation 5 launches next year worldwide. We will keep you updated on it as soon as more details come in on the matter, so stay tuned for all the latest news.Right now, game performance is better on PS5. I believe that is probably because PS5 development hardware and software are in a more advanced state. I fully expect Scarlett to close that gap once they ship more mature dev kits and software.
It must be said, since software, not hardware, is a traditional Microsoft area of expertise, it's very possible that they could ultimately deliver more advanced DirectX development software, in the end, allowing games to run better on Scarlett even if the hardware is less capable.
I thought about this earlier, too. The problem for this solution is, if they do that and PS5 Pro is over a year out or even no release date given, they might as well hand over the reigns to Xbox. Nobody wants to hear that they should just wait, and it would be a very bad sales tactic for the current next-gen PS5 release, imo.Why do I get the feeling that Sony is going to surprise us with a PS5 Pro announcement at E3?

Why anyone would want to believe a guy who's twitter handle has the name xbox in it when it comes to info regarding the PS5 is a mystery to me lol.
As far as the RT Cerny said "there is ray tracing acceleration in the GPU hardware"
Hell, you don't even want to believe someone who is literally the Head of Xbox when taking about Xbox game sales, so putting any stock in any of these early rumors would be inconsistent. Of course, you do seem to believe the ones suggesting PS5 is more powerful, but opinions are like a******s - they're easy to find on the internet.
And the 9-10 TF rumors have hard evidence to back them up. The one today is from a data miner who has been accurate in the past.Hell, you don't even want to believe someone who is literally the Head of Xbox when taking about Xbox game sales, so putting any stock in any of these early rumors would be inconsistent. Shuhei Yoshida: Developers Tell Us They Never Worked on Hardware as Easy to Develop on As PS5
The latest issue of Dengeki PlayStation magazine included an interview with Shuhei Yoshida, who explained Sony made it very easy to develop games on PS5.www.dualshockers.com
It did in some DICE Frost engine games but X still had the edge. You don't believe Phil, but you believe Cerny.
Inside PlayStation 4 Pro: How Sony made the first 4K games console
Six weeks on from the unveiling of the Sony's latest console and I'm in a conference room in Sony's new San Mateo HQ, r…www.eurogamer.net
Cerny on PS4 Pro: "In other words, at full floats, we have 4.2 teraflops. With half-floats, it's now double that, which is to say, 8.4 teraflops in 16-bit computation. This has the potential to radically increase performance."
Secret sauce never happened.

All the ‘super strong’ PS rumors are just from guys who ‘heard something’ or ‘know someone.’
Now that stuff could be old, and maybe there are 2 SKUs. But so far there is no real hard evidence to prove either of those things.
I hear you, but he was still in the industry a long time, and I’m sure still has contacts. Plus if you’re talking speculation, he’s got far more knowledge than any of us on the details about making a system. Why does anyone care what he thinks though? he has no idea what Sony is doing and now people are going on message boards quoting him as if he's some reliable source (Not you Rollins people are using him on resetera to back up opinions) he doesn't even work at MS anymore lol.

Based off tech and costs, he’s taking a very educated guess. If Sony is shooting For $399, that’s his guess at the best they could do from a cost perspective. So while he’s not a Sony employee, he’s got more insight than any of us.
It’s like if I designed cars for years for Ford, then changed jobs. If I hear Toyota is trying to make a family car that costs around 25k, I could probably take a pretty good stab at what could be expected to be in it for that money.
