Report: Xbox One received more positive sentiment at launch than PS4

It's a good thing GAMErs care more about GAMES than a few extra pixels. Launch games are better and when Titanfall hits Xbox will continue to dominate where it counts. We will see what happens from there. PS2 beat Xbox original overall because of more games that people wanted despite a huge power difference. In the end, they will both be worth owning like almost any console that has come before.
Kinect is sooooo important for MS that its biggest game(TITANSFALL) doesn't(THANKFULLY) use it.
All games technically use Kinect..... if you had an Xbox one you would understand what I mean by this... but you don't so its kind hard to explain.
Not sure what you're talking about. What do you think I am comparing? I mentioned the PS2 and Xbox original to show how little the power difference matters. There was a much bigger difference then than with PS3 and Xbox 360 and overall, I would say the 360 performed better overall. It had Uncharted which was better looking than anything on 360 but the majority of games looked and ran smoother on 360. Why would I even bring them up? Again, I am not talking about sales.
WoW what do gamers actually care wich company dominates the market?! They won't pay ur bills or help you out if ur in need of money is it?! I was a Day One 360 owner and i will list my reasons why i won't support MS this time around as its clear to me making Money is their number 1 Goal and we gamers are not really in their best intrest.
You need Xbox live gold to be able to use almost every feature on XBL. First they force you to buy Kinect and unless you have gold you can't even use the Video Chat feature and many more: Party chat, Crackle, Sports Pick, Internet Explorer, Skydrive-cloud storage, Skype, Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, Game DVR, Netflix NFL etc... in comparison to PS+ the only thing u can't use is ONLINE MULTIPLAYER that's it as far i know and has 4 free games you can start to play from Day 1 and games like DC Universe or Planetside 2 dont require PS+
I used to love MS but i just can't see why Gamers are not aware of what this company is doing and keep supporting them as if its their own. just my 2 cents .....
The problem is that the comparison is faulty, the PS2 released a year earlier then the XBOX and, by the time the XBOX was out for a year the PS2 had cut its price by $100. These were most likely a major factor it in it winning the console race, which probably helped bring in the awesome third party games.
Not sure why anyone would want any console to not do well. If someone prefers one over the other, great...but to wish less of a success on them............
there's no "winning" or "domination" by any console here...
This is a business model and business is apparently doing very well for both systems/manufacturers...
At best we're looking at a healthy 5-10% market share difference... Which is typical in any business model ...
Otherwise we'd be seeing another videogame crash like happened before...
Those in the minority that keep whining about Kinect obviously don't understand the long term plan and design of the system... Its not just about video games.... If you don't like it because of the price then don't buy it...

I wish less success on MS because it's quite obvious where they want to take this market. They want a firm grip with an iron hand over ALL aspects of this business. They want to be able to force developers to do what MS wants them to do, they want to force users to give up more and more money for less and less content and they want to force unwanted hardware on consumers under the guise of "innovation".
Sony's not much better but they're also not as brazen about it either.
Money is always a companies number one goal. They really don't care what moniker you place yourself under either. All that talk about being "for gamers" back in Feb from Sony was scripted and designed to make you buy their product. It works when they get your money. You have to choose based on the product what works best for you. I choose all. I will have a Ps4 once infamous comes out. I chose an X1 first because I prefer Microsoft products. They owe me nothing. It is a symbiotic relationship. They enjoy my money and I enjoy their games. What is funny as a customer they treat me fine. My surface rt broke yesterday. The Microsoft store gave me a brand new one, no questions asked. Just handed it to me. Things like that earn my repeat business.
Read GT6's microtransactions are just as restrictive as Forza 5's. Sony was originally forcing people to use their music service if you want to listen to music on your console. They backtracked on that one though and are working on allowing MP3 playing/streaming. Where do you see MS is different from what Sony in giving "less content" and "forcing users to give up more money?" I don't really see it.
Point Taken ... But i just don't like the fact that XB Gold is a paygate for 80% + of the features. I had a a few weeks i didnt play online and didn't really need Gold cause my type of games weren't released yet but i couldn't get in Party chat and chill with my friends, I can do that on PSN. Sony is by no means perfect but MS is really pushing it IMHO. Pay pay pay and its getting old for a company that rich they are acting really really greedy and people shouldn't accept things like this but that's just me i guess.
So glad to see the XO applying duck tape handily to the haters. Not gonna lie.... And I hope it continues at an astronomical rate.
Last I checked companies are created to make money...
As you point out there are alternative ways to take advantage of the various services behind the "paygate" ... you're not *required* to buy XBL gold last I checked....
I'm quite tired of this weak argument ... XBL is a service.. I didn't use it for several years... I choose to use it now... if I'm not willing to pay for it then I dont have to renew..
I question the concept that anyone can't afford to pay for a service that enhances an solid product offering... if you can't afford an additional service that adds extensive capabilities to a device that is a luxury item, the question becomes should you even be purchasing the item to begin with?
... these types of service offerings also take funding to build and grow overtime... so certainly stick with the "free" option for now... however, don't be surprised when Sony's service transitions to a paywall as well (in some aspects it already has)... Sony has a long way to catch up in this area as it is.. they won't be able to continue to do it for "free" much longer imho...
It's like anything else in life. You get what you pay for and they have a solid and secure online service. I would rather pay a little more if it helps prevent my account getting hacked and not being able to play any online games for over a month. Also no different than a smartphone. You have to pay for some kind of Internet service or data package in order to use the majority of services.
Remember a couple of weeks ago when certain other people couldn't tell us enough about the PS4 on Amazons top yearly chart... Why no one one bringing that up now???
The XO is performing beyond expectancy for one.....it'll get worse if NPD numbers show they've sold more than the PS4. MS has been keeping a steady flow of consoles delivered to retail. Thats a big deal.
Well i got some bad news today from Mediamarkt (biggest electro shop in south Netherlands) when i pre-ordered on the 23rd of November they told me i was going to recieve my console with the second batch wich was planned next week. I went in today to be sure and all of the sudden i might have to wait till the first week of January. I seriously can't wait that long anymore 
Both issues seem rather irrelevant at this time. Considering how the internet is now and how fast word would pass on any significant hardware problems, both Sony and Microsoft seem to be doing very well.
It seems like the word is out on who the minority is in this regard.
You have no idea how many the PS4 and the Xbox One sold at this time, anything is just pure speculation. Sony last announced 2.1 million a week ago and Microsoft last announced over 1.1? million a couple weeks ago.
Anything beyond that is just pure speculation and fanboy hope.
Also, the sales numbers right now, no matter who is 'winning' are MEANINGLESS. Both Sony and Microsoft are selling through everything they can make right now. The 'WINNER RIGHT NOW IS THE ONE THAT CAN MANUFACTURER MORE UNITS'. It is not really indicative of anything else right now.
I don't care who sells more consoles. All I know is I'm enjoying my Xbox One and people are enjoying their PlayStation 4. That's all that matters. The fact that we're still going back and forth is dumb. Multiplats are sometimes downgraded on the Xbox One compared to the PS4. The masses won't care. It's still sold out. Nobody cares that the PS4 doesn't have killer first party title at launch. The masses won't care. It's still sold out.
