I like big swords and I cannot lie
You other Sunbros can't deny
That when a Zwei walks in with a level +10
Titanite slab in yo' face
You get sprung, wanna pull out your enchanted stuff
Because that big sword is buffed
Those Dark Moonblade miracles are stealin'
All my souls and I'm preparing
To cry
Started getting back to ENB vids until I saw that thumbnail with Andre and came up with this.

I'm up to Smough and Ornstein on my level 1 character. I gave it a shot, killed Smough, then got impaled by Orn at 50% health and died. I think my mistake was using a few greater combustions early on in the fight - I should have saved them all for phase 2.

Do you have an upgraded light crossbow? In my level 1 run, i actually used pyro on the first one, and used a crossbow (while just keeping a pillar between myself and the second) shooting bolts safely from a distance.

I may have one, but I don't think I have any bolts for it - I'll have to check the giant blacksmith to see if they are sold there. I should be able to take out Ornstein with my jagged ghost blade, I just got unlucky with that impaling attack.
 
So many new players on after the XBL sale. Lost track of how many boar helmet wearing, drakesword wielding people I've killed. Also, a whole bunch of these "people" have killed Solaire. What the f***. Scumbags.

If you have a low level dickwraith, definitely jump on and do some twinking.
 
Lol, I do have a SL1 character half way through NG+, but I have a hard time bringing myself to grief. I did mess with some people though coming in dual wielding dark hands and jumping out at them when they opened a door, lol.

I hope in DS2, they bring back unlimited invasions like it was in Demon's Souls.. That dark wraith item was BS.
 
We need a PS4 and Xbox One port of this game. The PC version is just too messy for me to deal with.

Guys, I watched a YouTube video lately titled 'ten things you may not know about Dark Souls'.

Did you guys know the ghosts in New Londo had "ghost babies" in their hands? It seriously surprised me. Just thought I'd share.

That would be very epic. I hope HD collections continue into the next generation. I want to run through Blighttown at a beautiful 30fps, slaying over-sized mosquitoes.
 
Yeah, they butchered the PC version with GFWL. Seriously, I get disconnected from that all the time. And summoning is harder both ways. On PS3, online was great.

The PC version's higher resolution did make the armor shiny and the characters have more apparent detail. Of course, it also revealed the weird changing resolution where it was low-res in everything but the middle ground.

I don't plan on getting a next gen console (or does it count as "this" gen now?) for a while yet. I hope they give this series proper treatment.

Man,FU(K this game. No way I'm buying this blood pressure cooker...except I probably will... Oh yeah,I'm totally getting this... It makes so MAD! :mad:

Yeah, it's only the red eyed ones who scream. You will see a similar statue that they represent in the game. I think there is one near Firelink shrine behind where Frampt comes up.

Oh yes - the mighty boar helmet, hollow soldier shield, and jagged ghost blade. I figured I'm already weak at level 1, why not make it a bit harder?

Hey, what's up with your quickslot icons on the bottom left? There's supposed to be 4 icons there.

I use the minimal UI option in the mod. I can always tell which shield and weapon I have equipped, so the option removes them to tidy up the space (active spell and item are the only ones I can't see visually).

It may have taken some time, but the original Dark Souls did receive some DLC with Artorias of the Abyss. When it comes to Dark Souls 2 though, Producer Takeshi Miyazoe revealed to Edge that they aren’t expecting to do any DLC for the upcoming title:

For Dark Souls 2, we don’t even expect any additional downloadable content because we want to deliver a full game, the full experience, to fans who purchase the package from day one.

We did do additional content for Dark Souls, but generally downloadable content for Dark Souls 2 is not really being considered. Buy the package and you’ll get the full experience, and you’ll have as much fun as anybody else. Spending a couple dollars on certain items does not help the experience. So no free-to-play yet!

Speaking about F2P, Miyazoe said he thinks “it’s too young” to go that route, “and with Dark Souls I think it would be hard to monetize in that way. Pay per death? That would be terrible. From Software especially don’t want to allow players to pay for an advantage.”

As well, if you were hoping to see a Wii U version of Dark Souls 2, Miyazoe shot that down, with a Vita version also ruled out as “it’s not a handheld game, because of the network functionality.”

I think this is just one of those series you need to have the complete game of.
 
Yeah, f2p for this game would be kinda stupid. I don't know how that would even work.
 
Well, I've decided to start my first play through of Demon's Souls. I started a few months ago but got busy so I'm starting over. Honestly I didn't even make it out of the tutorial so I don't know if that even counts.

I want to be a melee character so I'm going to start with one of these three classes: soldier, knight, or temple knight. But I assume in the end it doesn't really matter. Going in blind.

Into the fog later tonight!
 
Cool, let me know if you have any questions because there are some notable differences between Dark Souls and Demon's Souls.

I'm tempted to fire up Dark Souls a bit and just mess around. Maybe see if what the most powerful weapon I can make before taking on the Bell Gargoyles is. I could try for a fire or divine weapon. We'll see.

Will do. Thanks GS. I'm really looking forward to it. New story, new enemies, and just a new game honestly.
 
Alright. So I chose to go with Temple Knight class for my first play through. Didn't make a whole lot of progress. I explored the Nexus and talked to the NPC's. Of course I got owned by the demon at the end of the tutorial. It really wouldn't have been hard to defeat him but I got trapped against the wall and that was that. Lol

I started Boletarian Palace and was killed by a red eyed black knight at what I think was close to the top of the castle. I'll try again tomorrow.

I did notice my health was permanently cut in half. Is that World Tendency? How do you get full health back? I did notice something in the upper left hand corner of the screen flashing during my time playing. I need to check that out.

It was fun to get back in a new Souls game. And blood stains were everywhere!
