You have to hold down the square button...but perhaps I've said too much.I heard Glenn Beck thinks the game teaches people how to hack.

i am about over 10 hours in and just started chapter 2 lol i love the gang hideouts, random criminal activities, points of interests and opening up sections of the map. But the problem is every other side mission (or distraction) is either boring, tedious and just horrible.
i will probably be focusing on campaign mission from now on
very poorOn one mission I arrived, saw the tower block which lay before me, and decided a sniper rifle would be a fun approach. I figured I could buy one from a nearby gun shop, so I hopped back in my car and sped off. When I reached an invisible boundary, the game yelled at me for leaving the mission area, failed the mission, and reloaded me back to the outskirts of the gang’s base I was to infiltrate. My car was now gone, as if as punishment for daring to deviate.
Be careful what you say on these forums. If the FBI notices your post up there giving out information of national security, you could be in a lot of trouble!Who knew it was that easy. I'm going to go stand outside the White House and press square.
Also that using an e-reader "re-wires" your brain.I heard Glenn Beck thinks the game teaches people how to hack.

Read some more on this and watched some vids and decided to pick it up.
It is built the same as Far Cry 3 was. Same type of skill trees, same layout as far as missions.
It is way more Far Cry 3 than GTA.
Basically Far Cry 3 in a very busy city.
There are more driving and chasing missions/side missions than FC3.
Same system of unlocking towers to get better map information.
Same gang hideout side missions.
Use of stealth or all out firefights, your choice, as long as you stay stealthy. More points awarded for stealth. I started 2 missions going stealth but was eventually noticed and had to shoot my way out of the rest.
If you liked FC3 game play, and game design, you will like this.
I can't vouch for the story though, I am only a short way in.
I won't get into online because the online in PS4/X1 is different than PS3/360. 360/PS3 has much less online.
There is also a totally other game within the game, virtual trips. These are similar to to the game play of the basic game, but just add more to do in the game.
The game structure is exactly the same. I am surprised more people don't make that comparison.
I guess because it is in a city and not in the jungle.
The way enemies are tagged is exactly the same (with different emblems on the tags). It IDs if they are snipers, or can call for backup or have explosives, etc...
The way you do gang hideouts is exactly the same, go to an area, there are about 8 or so guys and you have to capture the leader alive.
Unlocking the towers is a bit better than FC3. Instead of an annoying puzzle of climbing a tower, the puzzle is more of using the security cameras and the environment to figure out how to get the the tower box to hack it.
Using stealth and takedowns is handled the same way.
Anyone that bought Watch Dogs ever play Far Cry 3? A friend of mine has said this:
FC3 was one of my all time favorite games. I was going to NOT get Watch_Dogs, but now with this tidbit of information, I guess I will get it. FC3 was so addicting for me.I agree. Far Cry 3 is Assassin's Creed is Watch Dogs, basically. At this pace I'm sure that I'll get tired of Watch Dogs halfway through the game, which was the case with FC3.
Oh, no. They played their cards, close to the vest, and with good reason. There's no demo for it right?
I don't know, FC3 was my favorite game of last gen and I'm not feeling the similarity. Watch_Dogs feels like a serviceable GTA clone, but not much else.FC3 was one of my all time favorite games. I was going to NOT get Watch_Dogs, but now with this tidbit of information, I guess I will get it. FC3 was so addicting for me.
problem is that far cry does most of those alot better
but its still a good game, worth a buy for sure if you enjoyed far cry
for PC players, putting my texture to normal totally eliminated stutter, with everything else on ultra + best AA option the game still looks as good
