The problem is a game like COD can take up half that space in the blink of an eye. Even with smart delivery games are still going to be pretty big. If say you want to play Destiny and COD on that, you're basically done at that point.
That is an issue with all new gen consoles sadly.

The Series S is confirmed to be the smallest Xbox ever.

Ah, yes. People complain about loading times, so consoles get PC level storage, and now people will be complaining about the price of extra storage. You can't make this up.
You can't make up that consumer care about cost...are you braindead?

If you can't afford it I'm pretty sure you can still use external spinners.
Justt cause you can afford something doesn't mean it is good value.

Also, pretty sure, you can only expand storage via the propriatary external SSD from MS.

You can use them to store and play from BC xbox, xbox 360, and xbox one games that haven't had Series X enhancements. They can be used to store Series X games but they have to be moved to SSD to actually play them.

3.8 TF's for $299 is not going to cut it.

XSX is over 4X the power.

Yeah, it's the budget version that will play in non 4k.

People who aren't replying on these forums and social media will be fine and enjoy the next generation of games at a really good price.

Awesome. Lets play inventory manager.

People complain about storage but as eVo7 said, You can still use the external drives. They won't load anywhere near as fast on what you have int he system but it will get the job done.

Also, you will be surprised how many people on PC still holding their Old cards and storage device that never got upgraded.
People still use those old box HDD and Sata 1st gen storage.

They went super cheap with the storage though. Come on MS. Should be 1TB minimum.
They went digital. I think they were thinking streaming xCloud games, Smart Delivery, smaller next gen games, works with current external HDD's for XOG, X360 and XONE games, as well as Series X/S storage.

Also, no 4K assets for Series S.

I may get the Series S for my oldest sons room where we keep the Switch. Have a nice 4K HDR tv in there will be perfect for my son and wife to play all the games I own after I set it as my home console and have the Series X for the living room.
