Me....XBO.

Not going to lie though; RYSE installation literally tainted my experience with the XBO in a negative way that I wasnt expecting. Up until then I've been enjoying the hell ouf it. Now Im a bit concerned that something like this may happen again....I sure hope not. Thats insane to have to deal with a problem like that on your first real experience with a brand new system. MS needs to hop on that little situation, and quickly!
I queue them up and buy them at Xbox.com and they are downloaded when I get home. Not sure if that works in the smartglass app or not though.I downloaded a couple of smaller games that took just a bit to download. Painless. Gotta check on K.I. to see how that fared but if its downloaded by now I'll be happy. Is it possible to purchase and download games on the XBO while on the go? I'd love the ability to download a game from my smartphone and it be ready by time I get home. That'd be awesome!
have you linked it with your xbox? if so just go to power settings and you can choose what 'Xbox On' turns onK.I. is complete. Thats comforting.
IN OTHER NEWS...
I got the XBO to turn on my receiver but how do I get it to turn on my TV? Anyone with any ideas?
Well, it shows a code for my TV so I would think its linked but it still doesnt turn the set on though....have you linked it with your xbox? if so just go to power settings and you can choose what 'Xbox On' turns on
Got it to work! Rights the f*** on!Well, it shows a code for my TV so I would think its linked but it still doesnt turn the set on though....
I think it is with Ryse. Havent had a problem with anything else. As far as TV goes, I got it to work.I am beginning to wonder if the download issue is Ryse in itself. It didn't help that it was a new game on new hardware. I myself didn't notice it because I had bought so many launch games that I didn't make it to Ryse until the next day.
As for the tv it should be in settings, mine is set to toggle.
i am really shocked how bad internet is in america, in UK most areas have fibre for ridiculously affordable prices with speeds up to 120mbps with no caps. i dont think you can even get internet with caps here anymore.
Paying $60 for that same speedYou've gotta think of how large the US is. There are many rural areas with very large distances between them and larger towns/cities.
I've only run up against the Caps with this (the only one with decent speed) provider. They told me they used to be uncapped, but last year they changed because the system was getting overloaded. Not sure I believe that. We need more competition, but the town I live in is pretty small. I hear in Dallas they are going fiber in a big way at like 30 buck/mo. I was even hearing speeds as fast as a 1000mbps coming to some areas
What is Affordable? I'm paying about 70 dollars/mo for 50mbps
It is still up to the game. Some are able to allow you to play after 10% install and some not untill 75%So it's not like it differs per game? I think i am going to have a tough time with my 1.2MB/sec (download) connection.
It's all about cities you live in. Here in Cleveland Ohio there are no data caps with 100Mbit from time warner being $80/month, 50Mbit for $60, and 30Mbit for $40. None have caps as area is not too congested, but if you live in LA or other parts of Cali or lets say Huston Texas then yeah. You can still get Verizon fiber pretty much anywhere with up to 300Mbit I believe, but I have 0 interest in Verizon. Oh and it's illegal for a broadband internet provider to put caps unless there are other broadband providers in the area and if there are then only one is allowed to have caps.i am really shocked how bad internet is in america, in UK most areas have fibre for ridiculously affordable prices with speeds up to 120mbps with no caps. i dont think you can even get internet with caps here anymore.
No need to hide it, we all know that Sony throttles download speeds so their own servers don't get congested and so they don't need to upgrade their own servers lol.True. For the X1 is does depend on your internet connection. For a certain under next gen console that shall remain nameless, it does not. So there is also a design factor to consider which I can only assume Microsoft might be be able to improve.
Ryse finished installing at about 1:30am in the morning, Pacific. We're talking about from early in the evening to the next day. Thats re-DONKULUS!! However, At around 8pm I talked to a MS tech on chat and for my troubles she sent me the code for my very own free version of, wait for it....................................KILLER INSTINCT!! I havent even looked at dat muffugah as it told me from the JUMP that it may take some time to load. Probably'll be finished this same day and time in 2015....Bastards!
I said, damn, damn, damn! Thats C.S. for you right there though, right?
Anyhow, RYSE is incredible ( what I played of it so far...) I was two steps from tossing that sum bish right out my patio window but, at the end of the day (literally) it was worth it. I hope no one else had to go through that though, or will have to.
Paying $60 for that same speed
Really not liking the sound of all that. Why does it all have to be installed with the new consoles? I sure as hell am going to miss the 360's ways when i buy X1 i'm sure.
It is still up to the game. Some are able to allow you to play after 10% install and some not untill 75%
I'm getting 4-6MB/s depending what else I'm doing. With your speed 40GB game would take 9.5 hours to fully download on mine 1.9-2.5hrs.
And all games need to be installed onto the HDD as Blu-ray drives are not fast enough to stream textures they are about 20-30MB/s while xbox HDD is 84MB/s to stream textures.

Message me where as I am looking to get another one of the consoles I don't like(sarcasm) for my son.Erm, well...wasnt able to upload pics from my camera phone. but I got my One for a steal at $360 w/Kinect. Practically brand new! WOOT WOOT!! Good things come to those who wait!
I'd wait 3 hours for a game to install on my Xbox One even if it only took 20 minutes on the other console. Once you've enjoyed the pinnacle of console gaming there's no other choice. Greatness isn't given, it's earned.
Speaking of which. I wanted to play some Ghosts on the PS4 and haven't played it in months. Bang, 1 hour update. I guess we all can't be perfect like the 360 was.

I didn't know that either. In Denmark we got fiber net nearly all places, with 100mbps.
What is a recommended connection to be able to have as little problems with this as possible?
That is pretty bad. Considering all games have updates and large updates are fairly common, it makes this quirk of the xbox one off-putting.
I'm going to write an opinion post on the Xbox. Probably this weekend.
