Not that i care much about it. But DF has not fully analyzed Destiny yet, Same res and framerate does not matter that much, cause there can still be some missing effects on one version. Look at Sniper Elite 3 for that. If that's the case with Destiny too, it won't be complete parity.
I never liked DF when they do those videos. Because when things are settling down and everybody can be just happy they bring those videos to get the worst a******s on the web.

I don't get it. LOTS of things have a large used market and get along fine just fine. (Cars, phones, etc...). Why is it that with games it's suddenly a problem. Remember that people have been selling and used games since the 8bit days and before. I had the same problem when they were doing all the online pass crap just a year or two ago.
Its a problem as long as its the X1 that gets it first. When that other console announces it, all will be right with the world. ;)

Isn't their a difference between a physical copy of game vs a digital copy? Graphics wise? Kind of like comparing a blue ray film to a Netflix version of the same film.

Nah. Why would there be? You aren't streaming or anything. When you get the disk, it pretty much uploads the whole game, just like DD. Only difference is the DRM is on the disc, and for Digital it's in the "Cloud".

Well I took the plunge and bought a XBox One. It was a toss up between that and a PS4. But honestly Sony just doesn't have anything out I'm interested in. Plus, I already have a Gold membership. I'm still getting used to the new set up but Titanfall is bad ass.

Times change, you can't sell your digital music/movies, apps or mobile games back to a store, one day the convenience and versatility of digital games on consoles will override putting things on disc.

Games are just huge risks with less opportunities for profit. It's why DLC, online passes, and outright digital only games exist. It's all risk vs reward and companies want as much room for reward as possible. It's a unique business, especially as a entertainment, because they have less venues to make profit where movies have theaters, DVD/bluray, TV runs, streaming services, etc. Companies are constantly trying to find new ways to monetize the business and create new profits. Cars and phones have their own unique business. None are the same, and used game sales definitely seem to be looked down upon in the game industry. I would say that it's because there's no profit going on for the game industry, since this industry seems to be the only one that really tries to curb used sales. Keep in mind though, it's the software they seem to worry about, not so much the hardware.

Seems like you're just arguing points that would be viable for the convenience of yourself. Not everyone has enough bandwith limits to download several 50GB games / month. Why not just do both? I don't get it. Physical games have been around forever and publishers/game companies have been getting along just fine.
I guess I'm just upset about number of new games in development and don't know whom to blame but those gamers that buy 90% of games used. It would be good for MS and publishers if they did the buy back program or if publishers actually charged GameStop for making money off of devs work.

As for bandwidth limit I agree that it sucks for people with limit, but I also read that if there's only one broadband provider in the area that they are not allowed to have caps.

I guess when they offer more incentive to digital buyers then we will see.

Cars, phones, etc. break down and need fixing where makers make money off of especially cars and they don't have to continue supporting those things for free and those things wear out. Why don't you see any other software being sold used besides games? Because the code can never become used!

There's still a ridiculous amount of games in development right now. In the future, digital may reign supreme but for now I think physical media still plays a large role in game sales. Maybe when limitless bandwiths are the standard, faster high-speed internet and harddrives will be a lot cheaper will we see the popularity of digital rise.

Am I supposed to be getting notifications when friends log on or is that in a future update? (or do I need to turn it on)

I wasn't getting notifications when I was on earlier.

Xbox Live is probably straining because of the Destiny Beta.

Not to mention new models have cause big devaluing of old models. This works with games as well. Once the Sequel comes out, the old game price drops for new copies. On the phone front- they degrade/slowdown/ become obsolete.

A game is exactly the same no matter how much time passes. It's holds it's value as long as there is demand, and is supported long after the price of admission has been been burned.

Speaking of which, friggin' Halo games take FOREVER to price drop.
