If I remember right if you used mods on Skyrim or Fallout it disabled achievements. Fallout 4 had some good mods on console that made it have a better conversation system and graphics and lighting.
Yepp, reason I didn't use them more than having a look at how great they could look (albeit with an unsteady framerate).

Xbox games won't go to Switch/PlayStation Unless they accept an Xbox app and Game Pass. Needs to have full Xbox experience.

So, the Xbox app on Switch then, I ask again. "You know, it's the right question because people usually ask me about releasing one individual game or another. And what I say is I want the full Xbox experience to be something that we deliver. We have no plans to bring it to any other kind of closed platforms right now, mainly because those closed platforms don't want something like Game Pass. There's a ton of open platforms out there for us to grow in: the web, PC, and mobile. So all of our focus, frankly, is on those platforms."

Later on he says that he totally understands why that's the case ("That's not a slam on anybody else who has a system that works for them. I can see why the disruption of Game Pass is not something that they want right now.") But the concept of Xbox existing on other consoles is not a total dead-end, at least not in Spencer's vision. "In the end," he says with a smile, "when we say we want everybody to be able to play on Xbox, we really mean if we can bring that full experience to a device that players want, we are totally open to those discussions."

So, probably a question that's been gone over a bunch of times. I want to get my young niece and nephew gaming on my Xbox when they come over. I want them to have access to my game library and game pass, but of course don't want them buying things or anything else stupid on the account. Can I just download a bunch of games through my account and set them up with a kiddie safe live account? I'll probably be sitting right there with them anyway, but my nephew is nuts with things. He completely de-programed my brother-in-law's TV in like 30 seconds :) Had to factory default the thing and redo everything. Just wondering the best way to go about it.

I can only imagine one of my old college buddies seeing me on and sending me a not so kid safe message

If it's your home console, anything that you personally own the license to can be played by anyone on your console. My youngest has the child account so he can play any of the stuff I've gotten on Gamepass (subject to ratings, since he doesn't get to play rated M games for example). I've got the passcode set up on my login so I always have to enter the code whichever console I sign in to, and I don't do purchases straight on the console either.

There’s a Xbox family app that may help.

Set a passcode that is what I do. To get on my account or to purchase anything you have to put a code in. My kids and wife can still play all the games I own.
