Infinite is going split screen again, so I wonder if that will impact the graphics and performance of the entire game.Halo should stay 60fps too because it IS about tight control as well as story

Forgot about first person shooters, they should be at 60 too yes.Yep. As long as it isn't a fast paced game and its stable (rock solid), I have zero problems with 30fps. Hell, I played all through the Witcher3 at 30fps on the one X (even though it has a 60fps option). Same with Forza Horizon 4- though I would have preferred those visuals with 60fps. Racing really does benefit. I like nice visuals. I play for escapism as much as the sport/challenge.

They could do 30 for split screen, I think Mario Kart on switch do 30fps if you go over 2 players in split screen (I could be wrong on this...) and that doesn't seem to have impacted anything else.Infinite is going split screen again, so I wonder if that will impact the graphics and performance of the entire game.
You hope. That's on the way. Good times!
It's lazy devs and *cough* parityAnd yet we have the least powerful modern cnsole out there having majority of their AAA first party games at 60fps
Everwild from Rare is a lock. You hope.
It is haqrd to tell what state first party is in. Halo & Forza 8 are pretty much a lock. Outside that...? Playground Games supposed Fable has a good chance. Hellblade 2 maybe aswell. What else could there be that isn't so far out to be only a CGI/teaser trailer.
Plus 4K/60 and a 120 option.Well....

The only thing I might agree with is the "pop" is more pronounced in the dirt 5 video, but it looks like they just upped the vibrant filter.
Also, FH4 being open world.
Forgot about that. Hope it is more interesting than that trailer.Everwild from Rare is a lock.
It won't be. It will be one of the worst, if not the worst, game you have ever played/not played.Forgot about that. Hope it is more interesting than that trailer.

Plus Ubisoft sucks anyway.
Dunno. Played some right stinkers in my time. *COUGH* Gaylo. *COUGH*It won't be. It will be one of the worst, if not the worst, game you have ever played/not played.
This will be worse than a stinker. It will be a corn filled wet feces stinker.Dunno. Played some right stinkers in my time. *COUGH* Gaylo. *COUGH*
I don't know about that. IMO they need to show their weakness( 1st part exclusives) is no longer a massive weakness.
It likely still uses the anvil engine which is pretty old now...likee 15 years old. It isn't as advanced as other Ubi engines, like Division's Snowdrop engine.
Playground Games has been top notch with Forza Horizon. Will be interesting to see if that transfers to their new team.Oh that would most definitely help. But given IMO the only studio that they can trust to put out a consistent quality game is The Coalition, lets not lean too hard on 1st parties out the gate.
We'll see come July won't we?
They can't still use it. That thing should have been ditched along time ago.It Bethesda can still use the Creation engine( Which was built based on the even older Gamebro engine) you bet Ubisoft is going to stay with the Anvil engine.
I hope with FH5 we don't get another Legos DLC though.Playground Games has been top notch with Forza Horizon. Will be interesting to see if that transfers to their new team.
Halo Infinite will be 60(maybe more)fps quote it.
"60 fps is standard"It has to be. There would be a fanboy field day on both sides if it wasn’t.
Kinda, yeah actually....
I kind of agree with this..Xbox Series X's cross-gen approach is robbing players of the next-gen thrill
Opinion: More about cross-gen than next-genwww.techradar.com
"But we didn't get that from Microsoft. Instead we got 13 game reveals with 'Xbox Series X Optimized' badges and a lot of talk about Smart Delivery. We don't want to be told that these games will look better, we want to see it. I (personally) want a reason to upgrade, not to be stuck in a limbo between this generation and the next. All this focus on cross-gen by Microsoft is robbing us of that initial next-gen thrill."
" I hoped the Xbox Series X gameplay reveal would be the event that made me say "I need to get that console". But it wasn't. And, following the dry PS5 specs reveal, I'm starting to lose hope that an event like that will ever happen. Especially as this was only the first of Microsoft's Xbox 20/20 monthly streams.
Microsoft missed a huge opportunity on May 7 and hopefully it's something it learns from and tackles in its Xbox Game Studios focused stream in July - where we'll see the like of Halo Infinite and Hellblade 2. "
It was a disaster because they overpromised. If they didn't do that the show would have been OK, nothing amazing, but the platform for the show would have kept expectations in check. I mean, would anybody have expected great things from inside Xbox? Context is super important.I kind of agree with this..
I don't think their showing was the disaster that some are making it out to be, but it was their first impression for new hardware, and they missed their first chance to wow. Now we have to wait a month for some news, and 2 months for more games? I really think they should rethink this! Why not just like a single game every week? When else in history could a single game get exclusive in-depth coverage for a week straight?

I don't think week long coverage of a single title is a good idea either, not at this stage.
Yeah. You would think they would get it at somepoint during the last 7 years. Can we just blame Greenberg? Phil did the same s***.Agree with this. It could've been framed as a positive. 9 of the 13 devs were pretty small. The type of dev that would've been giving us the Deer Game or Goose Game in the past. The quality of those Indies production values dwarfed what we saw from Indies in 2013. Thats relevant. Its a result of the vastly improved tool sets devs are working with which is more important than potential of hardware on the high end in the long run. It went over poorly because Greenberg sucks at his job. Nothing more or less.
I believe Greenberg sucks at his job because he doesn't really get gaming or nuances of game development. He just blindly hypes. He thinks his job is to bring consumers to the table at any cost. I still remember the marketing response to Halo 5 when people complained about it being misleading and marketing went on record that it did its job because it sold Halo 5. They need someone in that role who's not a corporate hack so disconnected from the consumers.
He then reads what felt like a hostage letter following the event....and proceeds to do the same s*** the next day. Overpromising and speaking in broad general terms with no context or understanding of the industry.
I'm 90% on board with everything Xbox has done since Phil was promoted however I'm on the verge of unfollowing and never watching anything outside of their E3 level shows in the future. Their corporate hacks in marketing and communications make engagement with the platform difficult.
