Forza Motorsport 7

I m talking about mid corner & exit understeer which usually is a suspension issue. I get my tire contact nigh on perfect with tire pressure and camber resulting in a 32/33 tire pressure with equal temps across outer/middle/inner...So contact is fine. Suspension isn't bottoming out and the weight tranfer/body roll is good...so not a spring rate issue.

Now, softening/stiffening the sway bays/roll bar and or damping should have an impact on mid corner & corner exit, but it doesn't improve anything, it either stays as it is or gets worse...the differential deceleration setting has no affect either..which it should.

I've barely touched the tuning. I'll have to check it out.

Well, becoming less and less of a fan of this game as I have played it more. Not just having played it more, but having been playing this side by side with Gran Turismo Sport. I am almost to the Master's in Forza. I have earned a few million credits, bought tons of cars, raced on lots of tracks. But I have to concur with what was mentioned earlier after spending more time with it. The game should be called Ramza Motorsport 7. The AI is absolutely horrible. Ram after ram, cut after cut, slam after slam, pit maneuver after pit maneuver. I have hit rewind in a race 10+ times on occasion because of the s*** the AI is pulling. In GT Sport, not ONCE have I had a need or desire for that feature because the AI races substantially better. Even in Forza I have set the drivatars to be the least aggressive, as well as most aggressive and still the same s***. In GT Sport, I am actually playing at a higher level than I am in Forza now because of the AI. The AI is ruining what is technically a huge game with a ton of content.

Secondly, the graphics in FM7 look more and more like cartoon s*** compared to GT Sport. Granted, I am not running the X1 version yet, but I am willing to bet that the X1 version with the 4K assets won't help. WHY O WHY does Forza insist on having grey HUB CAPS for all their cars when they are rotating on the track. It makes them look like wheels from a PS2 game. In fact, I just unlocked an old Nissan GTR last night, and it looks like a 2 gen old car.

I just finished the all white Miata division this morning. All the tires on the 24 cars along the edges looked like they were highlighted in white. WTF?? I know it was foggy at times on the track, but the tires looked like they are glowing.

I don't know if this stuff can be fixed in a patch. But now that I am about on the Masters, I am only one away from finishing the campaign. I will finish it, but I can't see myself going back to this game unless they fix the AI. The X1X may address some of my graphical concerns, but the AI needs fixing Turn 10.

Oh, I do wish GT Sport had a sense of speed like Forza does. Really the only thing I don't like about GT Sport is the lack of sense of speed. All the cars feel heavy and slow. But still a lot more fun to race.

Is there any other racing game besides 24 hours of LeMans, that I remember/played, where you can do a long endurance race and save/exit your progress when you go into the pit and continue at a later time?

Can't think of one but it sure as hell would have been nice.

Seems strange how the A.I got worse in the game that will be MS's X1X showcase.

Have no idea how this happened at all. Ramping up the difficulty makes no difference either.

As for GT Sport: The sound in that game is proper s***.

The sound in GT Sport isn't the best, especially contact with other cars. But in many cases, it's really good. I still with they would tone down the tires squealing 24x7.

Appreciate the hot take and the honesty. I haven't played Forza 7 yet but that's kind of what i figured. Feels like the series needs a bit of a break. People get on Polyphony for taking their sweet time, but regardless it makes GT feel like a fresher series in my opinion. Forza still has the content edge though, and with Xbox One X enhancements coming not all is lost. I don't know though. Kind of just tired of hearing the name Forza at this point. That's why i didn't bother with Forza 6 or Horizon 3 yet but i definitely need to get on FH3 soon. It's just better all around.

People get on PD's back because theey take an eternity and end up with a half assed game, like GT: Sport. It isn't a proper GT gaame and it stiill took them ages.

Lets not make out that the backlash is uunwarranted.

There's a 5.88 GB patch out now. I'm assuming 4k stuff for Xbox X.

I was worried reading a few XbX reviews from people getting it early saying that the 4k patch wasn't out, but hopefully this is it.

Anyone else seriously disappointed in the multiplayer aspect of the game? Turned in in my opinion has been going on a tablet spiral with a multiplayer since Forza 3, and this is just about the worst so far. Forcing me to do specific car classes like I'm in single player middle of the road rise and then only the car classes. I not just let people set up lobbies and others search for those loud he's like the good old days.

half assed game, like GT: Sport

Yet it's still the best racing game we've seen in decades. Imagine what they could do if they really had the funds like Turn 10. Microsoft must put a lot more money into Forza and yet GT still competes and in some cases beats out Forza.

How drunk were you when you wrote this?

But yeah, the homologation stuff works but is way too restrictive and doesn't work as a be all.

Then we have Rivals Mode, which is dead.

T10 f***ed up big time...and they seem to be in no rush to rectify the major issues this game has.

Say NO! to drugs next time.

I'm forcing myself to use the text talk app and sometimes it doesn't translate as well as I would like. So I was sober, just completely negligent in checking what it wrote. Tried it again last night and I'm just not happy. What's sad is I finished every single player race in the game except one. And the only reason I haven't finished that is because I need 1.5 million dollars to buy the car for the race.

Fair enough.

I hopped on last night too and turned it off after 2 ridiculous races.

I have been telling T10 to follow iracing's online penalty & licenses for years now and tyey just ignore it. Their rivals GT:Sport & PCars 2 have done exactly that, though.

Tried someone today and the least vomit worthy class was the muscle street or road street. it's just painful...

Yeah, the slower things get the more you can stomach it.

I had hoped the 20 minute races in the GT Endurance hopper would calm people down a bit, but nope. It may even be worse thanks to the ridiculous way people exit the mandatory pitstop.

I understand its supposed to be a "sim" racer but why did these games get rid of ghost racing? I enjoy the skills part of online racing. Now its all about luck. Making it through the first corners without getting crushed into a wall or flipped into a fence.

I race online 90% of the time and the fact they made it so easy to get spun backwards because my back got tapped is ridiculous also. You can race for two hours and Maybe have one clean race. Sorry, i don't have time to sit in your countdowns to only end up out of the race 5 seconds in.

Will never purchase. When did options become bad? Is it to much to ghost the first 10 seconds at least or the first 2 corners? Online racing in this game is worthless.

It isn't supposed to be a sim racer.

They have a ghost hopper...think it is a Hot Hatch hopper.

Racing ghosts isn't really racing, though. There are betters ways to sort out the terrible races that don't sacrifice a key essence of racing. iracing did it, Pcars 2 did it, GT Sport did it. T10 are no longer a leader and are falling further behind in some areas with each entry.

It would be a great game if you only got matched with other skilled cautious drivers but majority are just idiots. I think turn 10 needs to only race against randoms not each other. Lets get back to reality

Yep.

JJust me, or does anybody else think the first Forzathon is a bit pants. There isn't even any credits up for grabs.

I don't get it. I went in there and you can't even click on the events to start it?

I had no incentive to click and find thaqt out.

OH! and even with a month delay there are a lot of complaints that the progress isn't being tracked.

As someone who's been playing Forza online since Forza 2, and trading parts on Forza 1, this is the worst multiplayer I have ever seen. I am immensely disappointed with the set-up, The Hoppers, the network connectivity, the lobby progression, about the only good thing is the the idea of being able to pick a track right after the race ends.

I usually spend about 10% of my time in the single-player and the rest in multiplayer, I've completely exhausted the single player and the multiplayer holds no joy. This might be the least amount of time I've ever spent with a Forza game unless they change something.

Was it forza 3 or 4 that first went on to showcase/highlight that their engine supported/had hdr lighting? I remember coming out tunels and being blinded by the light...
