Forza Motorsport 7

As someone who's been playing Forza online since Forza 2, and trading parts on Forza 1, this is the worst multiplayer I have ever seen. I am immensely disappointed with the set-up, The Hoppers, the network connectivity, the lobby progression, about the only good thing is the the idea of being able to pick a track right after the race ends.

I usually spend about 10% of my time in the single-player and the rest in multiplayer, I've completely exhausted the single player and the multiplayer holds no joy. This might be the least amount of time I've ever spent with a Forza game unless they change something.

Pretty much impossible to disagree.

The visuals in this game are amazing, but one thing bugs me - where's the night. I mean real dark night? I'm racing at Le Mans at night and you can still see blue sky through the clouds. It is more like dusk than dark. Parts of Le Mans should be dark other than your headlights. FM6 did this well (to the point where it was really tough without the racing line).

Try VIR that track gets pitch freaking black l.

Why in the flying hell can't i sale all the cars i won in single player at the auction house? Yet another BS move Turn10...

Mine was acting buggy the other day. When I would buy a car and it is showing the car on the screen, the front wheel would start to slide out of the car on the screen like it was being pulled out at tire shop or pit stop. You could see the wheel slide out for one second, too fast for me to take a screenshot of because it doesn't happen every time.

Also, I went to finish the Masters the other day. I didn't win one of the races early on, so I was like 200 points short of opening up the Forza Cup. I figured I could just start another one of the available races in the Masters to get the other 200 points to unlock the the Forza Cup. Well, I started the new section, got the XP that I needed to get to 28000, but it forced me to finished the last 5 races of that section too before I could move on :(

Game looks great in 4K, but STILL getting pop in. Not a fan of that.

I had that wheel issue happen a few times in vista.

Finished the campaign (won the Forza Drivers Cup). For those interested, what it does is unlock a bunch more races in each cup that you already completed for you to continue if you like. Almost like a second season and a lot of endurance races. Some are 300 miles. It also adds more showcase events.

Time for a Forza break for me now after focusing all my attention on that for so long. Gonna spend more time now in other games, and play some more GT Sport as well.

I would give Forza 7 probably a 7.5/10. The drivatar AI in the campaign sucks some serious balls.

7.5 seems very generous to me..

I'm thinking of uninstallinh it and picking up PCars 2.

It kinda is. I gave it that due to the endless and excessive content, cars, tracks, performance, graphics. Drivatars pretty much brings it from 10/10 to 7.5/10 for me.

In fact, I started getting so pissed off at them ramming the f*** outta me, I just started doing pit maneuvers on them every time now.

Track selection is not on par with similar games..and it has no new tracks. Tge majority of cars added since F6 have no place in this game. Graphics are average. Drivetars have been messed up. Online is a clusterf***.

Only thing I would genuinly praise in this game is the audio.

One of the largest track counts in Forza to date. Largest I think?

and it has no new tracks.

Dubai is a new track.

Not every car will please everyone. Which giving us 700 to choose from is a good thing to have. Some are crap, some are great. I would rather have too many than not enough. I loved that I chose to do the entire campaign with a different car for every single race.

Graphics are average.

Looks great on my Xbox One X in HDR on my 65 inch 4K TV. I would love them to improve the car models a bit more, but I know that means they will take away from the locked 60fps, lower car count, remove dynamic weather and remove dynamic time of day and remove livery layers. Also I hope they patch pop.

Drivetars have been messed up.

They are a joke.

Online is a clusterf***.

I haven't bothered with online. I just do the campaign, rivals, challenges and free play.

It isn't about pleasing people, alll these 4x4, off roaders, limos, etc have no place in game, end of.

Rivals mode was destroyed.

Yeah, the off roaders are dumb. Just as dumb as them adding motorcycles to PGR4. Off road would make sense IF they had off road tracks like GT Sport and PCars 2, but Forza doesn't. I hope they never add them.

Any tips from you guys who are good at this game? I’ve only done short spurts with sim racers and have never gotten gud. Probably need to start with the basics.

I am not good. But I enjoy it. I only do short spurts with sims too, but that is because I have less time to game. I know menace probably won't agree, but the braking line assist is a must. This will help you memorize the tracks. Now once you do that, you can eliminate the braking line, but really there isn't any incentive anymore in Forza 7. In Forza 6 and older, you would receive more credits for turning the line OFF, making it more challenging. Now there is no increase or loss of credits.

The braking line is my number aid for learning tracks. I also would notch the AI difficulty at normal. I would keep ABS and Stability on because those truly are in cars today and are in use. Some things can be seen as assists...or "cheating", but when they actually are used in real life racing, especially for safety, I see no issue using them.

Don't rely on REWIND. I have gone into FREE PLAY and I use REWIND over and over to get a certain corner down to a "T", that way when I go race in campaign, rivals or the rare occasion I go online, I am well versed.

Spend like a half hour, maybe half of one of the series today, then tomorrow or the next day, spend a half hour doing the other half. Don't sit there doing 8 hours of racing. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Say NO! to drugs next time.

And since when do you own a PS4 and played GT Sport to know which is better? I haven't played Forza 7 but i can say with confidence that it's Forza 6 in 4K much like Forza 5 was Forza 4 with spruced up textures. But only GT gets a bad rap for supposedly being half a game. Got to love it.

Shifty x5 commence. Truth hurts, i know.

Edit: Just saw this gem

But i'm on drugs? FOH.

It is hilarious how hypocritical this post is.

Only thing funnier is the ffact you didn't even realise it

Corners: Start wide, apex, finish wide. The goal is to make corners as straight as possible. Also, slow in,fast out. The exit is far more important than the entry.

Assists: Try and race with no assists...it is faster. Brake line is fine and essential. Manual gears and clutch also. But don't be afraid to work up to No assists if you need to.

Mostly it is all about practice and track knowledge.

Tuning the car is important (if the race you are in allows you to upgrade the car). The default cars usually don't handle well.

This guy has some great, drivable setups

His tuning calc is pretty good too.

Had a pretty good night of last night in S class, well except for VIR and Prague, which were straight up clusterf***s.

I'm always terrible at VIR. Maybe because it was added so late? I feel like I never have enough laps there to feel comfortable.

Some of the other tracks have been around for so long I think I can run them blindfolded.

Yup same here. I just think VIR is a s***ty track in general.
