Together, they have spent 872,404,449 hours battling the aliens that want to turn them into dust. By the time you read these words, those numbers will have grown. Also at this exact moment, over five hundred developers are hard at work to make sure that the world you inhabit will continue to evolve.
This is your work as much as it is ours. As innumerable and immeasurable your ongoing contributions to our game may be, we numbered and measured anyway, attempting to sum the damage and devastation of a few million enlightened Fireteams.
- In the span of time you have spent playing Destiny, the Curiosity Rover could have made the voyage to Mars more than one hundred thousand times*
- If the Guardians populating Destiny occupied a single city, it would be as large as New York City and Los Angeles, combined
- Atheon has been shattered 2.4 Million times

- Crota has been Ended 769 times, and rapidly counting
- But only once by a Fireteam of one (step it up, everyone else)"

When you realize that falling in line with the tastes of the masses doesn't reflect well on you, let me know OK?
He is fine, the game reviewed poorly, so if anything, he simply has bad taste
Seriously though, enjoying something that a lot of others do doesn't reflect poorly on him either, unless the only reason he likes it is because it is popular.

I liked Destiny enough... until level 20. The game has so completely fallen off my list for now, that it doesn't come anywhere close to GotY. It missed a lot of marks. Still, I'm one of those numbers in that list, an a lot of people bought and played at least some of the game on pedigree alone, so I'm not sure if the numbers really indicate as much as you are interpreting."

Not really. It IS sung by a female artist. It's about feeling good about yourself the way you are. My kids love it because she says the word boodie, or however you spell it.
That's why it's not. Have you not heard it? It's not a sexist song. It's kinda dumb, but I wouldn't call it sexist.

Funny thing is many (like gamespot)
Who rated it lower..can't seem to stop playing it lol... I watched numerous broadcasters playing and enjoying it after rating it bad...closet fans.
Any review that was made in a week is ignorant anyway as anyone who actually played the game and got past level 20 will tell you the game doesn't shine until you are a high enough level which then allows certain modes ie nightfalls/raids.
I haven't even played the game and I knew that. Not only did the developers specifically tell people that, but it was heavily expected by those who are used to MMO type games.
As forthe reviews, I was not actually serious. I just taking the mickey out of your obsession with review scores
No, I have not heard it. My reply was more for humour, was not supposed to be taken too seriously.
Yeah, I played for a bit, maybe got to 21, but I have no interest in grinding the same levels over and over until I can even luck into the equipment to access where the game "shines". That's pretty ridiculous design, imo.
And that's what it is your opinion...I was just pointing out another perspective.
I didn't like the game much wasn't even going to buy it(going by the beta/alpha) and thought it was soso(when I did buy) until after level 20.

I take umbrage to how you phrased the post level 20 game because someone reading it might actually think the game changes in some meaningful way after level 20, which it does not. Your description lacked the necessary specificity to be worthwhile. Just trying to protect the guy who stumbles on such BS and decides to invest his time/money as a result.
Only 5 of the 14 listed would actually qualify for a GotY poll. All the other titles are new versions of old games.
