The 2017 NFL Season Thread

Dear Browns, please lose so we get #1 pick and get Myles Garrett. Thanks.

Romo did Romo things yesterday. Some teams will be lining up for him. Sanchez looked like a bum. Hope he never gets on the field again.

Without Derek Carr the Raiders are the Rams with a worse defense.

Here's hoping Conner Cook can be competent vs. the Texans.

The Jags have too much talent to be that bad. I think they underachieved under Bradley.

Hopefully they go out and get a good staff. Maybe Bortles can be salvaged?

Perhaps. He's looked pretty decent the past two weeks. I think if he goes back to what he did before the 2015 season and spends a lot of time out west working on his mechanics with the same trainer, that will help. He wanted to stay in town this past offseason and work with the receivers, but his mechanics regressed. If they can just get the 2015 offense and the 2016 defense with a similar upgrade in coaching in 2017, it could be really good.

Of course, because Jaguars, it may well end up blowing up.

Yeah, they're screwed. Pats caught a big break with Chiefs winning the division. Now they either get the banged up Raiders or Texans first round while Pitt/KC beat each other up.

Unless the Dolphins go into Pittsburgh and pull an upset. Then the fish get gutted again in Foxborough. I'm loving the playoff picture right now.

Good game. The Pats didn't play their best and they still covered the spread. I'll give the Texans defense some credit. Should be another battle next week.

Dallas D played like crap all game long. Rodgers has been carving them up

Both NE and Atlanta dominated both regular season and playoffs. Should be a close match...... but I get a feeling NE will destroy them.

However, if you look at NE's 4 SB wins in the Brady era, every game was won by either 3 or 4 pts. Their losses in the SB are by only a handful of pts too.

So maybe it will be close after all.

Atlanta wins the Super Bowl. Roger Goodell celebrates on the inside. Season over.

The good thing is i don't mind losing to Atlanta. Of all teams, they haven't won anything. Anyone is better than the Giants. Didn't want to lose to the Packers either. Tired of the Rodgers is better than Brady talk. Yeah, he can move and throw a football better than anyone but you need to have the results to be the GOAT. Which Brady has, and if he wins his 5th ring it's undisputed. Nobody will ever match that run.

They're not losing though. 2016 was the year of karma so it's fitting that Goodell bows in the presence of greatness and hands Brady another Lombardi trophy. Nothing but a witch hunt from the start. Apparently beating your wife with video proof is only good for a 2 game suspension but being suspected of cheating is an automatic 4 games. Dude won't even come to Foxboro and face the music because he knows he overreached and nobody likes him. What a coward.

Haha. I'm not a football fan, but like everyone, I'll watch the SB. If I had to pick a team to root for when I watch the playoffs, I always pick the Giants. I follow the sport marginally and know enough to see the Giants as a fringe team. But I root for them because they seem to squeak into the playoffs and can sometimes make a SB run. Wasn't this the team that won where a guy pinned the ball to his helmet? My buddies and I were going apeshi t at the catch.

Yeah, he had bubble gum on his helmet. Ruined a perfect season.

Tom Brady tho.

His passing numbers are impressive as usual, but all in all a very relaxing evening for him at Gillette Stadium. No pressure moments, plenty of time in the pocket to throw.

I pick the Patriots for the win, but then I've always picked them to win and even they can be stunned at the Super Bowl. Twice by the Giants. As long as they don't underestimate how hungry the Falcons are they should prevail. Hope they learned from the Panthers loss to the Broncos as well.

Nothing is guaranteed, especially when the other team simply doesn't care what the odds against them are.

I guess I have to be a Falcons fan until the day after the Super Bowl, I can't stand the Patriots or Brady.
