Rtings.com updated list of Best Gaming TV's - Summer 2017
Samsung KS8000. Great gaming TV, but hard to find nowadays.

Bought mine a week before the Super Bowl. So far I absolutely love it. Best purchase I've ever made.
I am not a fan of bad or worse PQ...I recommend a FALD/Full Array LED or a OLED.You and Froz both love that TV. Val isn't a fan based on specs but I keep hearing positive things from those who own it.
I can still find it. Best Buy had it just the other week. Normally I wouldn't sweat it since I'd expect better tech for the same price by the end of the year (since that's just the way tech works) however my only hesitation...in being hesitant...is losing the option for a curved gaming tv. Doesn't look like any other good curved gaming TVs will be available in the same quality/price range.
Good thing your opinion means s*** to meEdge Lit and great PQ don't mix and Id question any person or review that says otherwise.

I had a Pioneer 1030k before this Onkyo but for some reason it elevated the blacks so that they were grey. But it could have just been that particular model or unit, they are pretty much the same company now as Pioneer sold their AV business to Onkyo in 2015.
The thing I like about the new LG OLEDs is that they all offer the same PQ, the only thing that differentiates them is the design and soundbara on the more expensive models.
Yeah in my case this fall the sony x900e looks like the tv to beat for price/performance with everything I've researched. Does anyone have this set?I am not a fan of bad or worse PQ...I recommend a FALD/Full Array LED or a OLED.
Usually when someone buys something they will say its good to justify the purchase.
Here's a question, for atmos can I use bookshelf for front speakers? was looking at these bookshelf
Is PQ or input lag the most important to you?I haven't seen a bad review regarding the picture quality of the tv despite being edge lit. There's obviously something else to the equation. It was rated the gaming TV to buy last year and is still a runner up this year with it's primary knock being difficulty to find. It's doing something else right.
You already own it...sorry manGood thing your opinion means s*** to me
I have a buddy who has it..... what size are you looking for?Yeah in my case this fall the sony x900e looks like the tv to beat for price/performance with everything I've researched. Does anyone have this set?
55 stay alive...I have a buddy who has it..... what size are you looking for?
For that size I would recommend one of the TCL,Hisense or Vizio P sets over the Sony.55 stay alive...
Do we know if the x1x supports only hdr10 or both dolby vision and hdr10 for games?

Only HDR10 for both Blu-ray 4K and games, at the moment.55 stay alive...

On the plus side, Dolby and Microsoft do seem to be a bit chummy lately, so it's possible that they could add the feature in the future.
No it won't. We've already had this argument on this forum.Don't know if the hardware is finalized but the Xbox one x would need the DV chip in the hardware.
The argument was XBO wasn't getting it and hasn'tNo it won't. We've already had this argument on this forum.
Btw, I finally won the argument when Dolby announced that devices could upgrade, and they specifically stated consoles! I do not want to rehash this argument.
Consoles can DEFINITELY process DV. There shouldn't be any question. The chip was only necessary for devices that cannot process DV on their own. Consoles have nothing but processing power.
Anyone have this 4K TV or can offer their thoughts? Seems legit to me, been thinking about picking it up. Don't really need a TV bigger than 40 inches as my room is kinda small.
Amazon product
Only in your mind. The argument was XBO wasn't getting it and hasn't
We will see how it compares with the shootout.
Not the set we were talking about.LG won, better sets for less money.
