Yeah. But 2021 will see Halo and most likely Everwild. Hard to see what else could come.I don't even know if 2021 is going to be solid for Xbox. 2022 more than likely.
So, what? You expect him to stop stating a fact. It isn't crap. It is a fact.So am I
We say it every day on here. We get it. You think things are going to magically change tomorrow? It's so old.So, what? You expect him to stop stating a fact. It isn't crap. It is a fact.
People are acting like the game was released in some half finished state, but it looks and plays amazing. Sure, it has a few issues, but nothing like we've seen with other console launches. People are forgetting 640p resolution games launching with X1 vanilla and PS4 and games struggling to get to 20fps.
My launch console experience has been great, and I have not had any early adopter regret at all. As a matter of fact, I keep looking for a PS5 in stock to add to my XSX.
He might be right, but the same problem is with PS as well and he never mentions it. He acts like Xbox is alone. He is right, though.
I don't even remember saying he's wrong... I just don't get why some say the same thing over and over.He might be right, but the same problem is with PS as well and he never mentions it. He acts like Xbox is alone.
That's the truth. ACV is eating up ally time, lol, then Cyberpunk will render everything else moot for at least a month. I'm fine on games and I have great hardware to run them on. I'm gooood. Just like this gen too, cyberpunk wont have the patch but I want to play now, so I'll get one of the bests versions I can, Play it, and then enjoy the upgrade when it comes. I tired of waiting, damnit! One person's opinion doesn't validate much. Forbes editorial people have been consistent about their stance against Xbox and Game Pass when coming on influencer podcasts. Since I'm a Game Pass fanboy, nothing they write is directed to me (or most Xbox gaming enthusiasts). Just different priorities.
People shouldn't go overboard with making bold claims about a generation or hardware a few weeks into a gen when most gamers don't have time for all the games out now or coming soon.
At least “twice”I don't even remember saying he's wrong... I just don't get why some say the same thing over and over.
Agreed. I actually popped in Ryse the other day and it would still hold up with a res boost. I was seriously impressed by everything but the resolution.Comparing previous gens this was the weakest launch for both consoles.
He knew what he was getting when he f***ing purchased it. So basically purchase it and then write a hit piece about it.
Yep my backlog of newish stuff is already piling up. Not to mention old stuff that I stopped playing due to load times (looking at you Forza) is back on the docket. I've been playing Yakuza, Valhalla, Cold War online and Tetris. With all the new stuff coming to Game Pass, Destiny 2's patch and Cyberpunk, I'm booked for months. lol Oh...then Medium and The Ascent will be in Game Pass next. That's the truth. Nah it's one man's opinion. Most Xbox gamers bough Series X at launch for it's 1st party promise of the future, how well it carried over everything from the previous gen and Game Pass. Nothing changed for me/them. Nobody was talking about PS5's difference at 120fps before DF's comparison because 1) very few people were running games at that frame rate and 2) most gamers couldn't tell you which game was running better in multiplats without DF's help. Long time gamers know that 3rd parties rarely leverage hardware deltas. They rarely did it on OG Xbox vs PS2 and that was a massive difference in power. This is my take on the whole situation:
Phil Spencer knew he didn't have a launch lineup. In fact, he knew he didn't have projects ready or planned even after he purchased all those studios. Instead, he used these acquisitions and promises to fuel the hype behind the system, kinda like Bethesda, to compensate for the fact that nothing was ready. Some, like the individual you mentioned, bought into this on the strength that at least the console would perform better than the competition across the board. When you don't get this and you still have to wait, you begin to question why you ever took the plunge. I'm sure this the situation that has taken place here.
I assume his next article will be:
Why The PlayStation 5 Is 2020’s Other Biggest Gaming Disappointment
If lack of games is a concern.
I just finished watching their tech analysis. It appears to have the same average performance we seen on PS4 Pro and X1X. Slightly sharper shadows and increased foliage on PS5. But I'm surprised by the better performance on XSX in 120fps mode. I would have thought they be equal but DF does state how Xbox's support for VRR being a key feature to their advantage. I don't have a 120herz TV so I can't take advantage of that mode so most of my gaming at least for now will be in 4k/60 when supported for shooters.Another example of PS5 having more details (Unified ram>Split ram) and this time XSX running better at 120fps.
Killzone and Knack though?Comparing previous gens this was the weakest launch for both consoles.
Because others were comparing it.
I prefer Xbox games more than PS games. I have stated that numerous times. Doesn't mean I can't enjoy both. You remind me of my wife. She will ask me "which shirt do you like more?". I tell her, and she says "oh, so you don't like this one". To which I respond "No, I didn't say that. I said I like shirt A more than shirt B"...to which I then follow up with "I give shirt A a grade of 100, and I give shirt B a grade of 95".
Some see things as "all or none". I don't roll that way.
Odd, do I need to go and quote the issues I had with my Xbox Series X making a noise out of the box that sounded like a loose piece of paper hitting the fan? Or when I said that my Xbox Series X crashed numerous times with COD Cold War? Or said that the dpad was too noisy? Or that the Seagate NVMe was over priced? Or that I thought that Gears Tactics sucked ass? Or that yet another Xbox launch game was delayed (all posted here on the forum).
And then I came back and said it was fake.
Yup, that is what I said. IMO, it is one of the worst ever, if not the worst.
We know you don't understand opinions.
I am not unbiased. I prefer Xbox. But I play both and enjoy both. I am on a forum that USED to be Team Xbox. I spend all my time here in the XBOX section and this section. I dabble in the PS section when I am playing a PS game on occasion (I have the most activity in Miles Morales thread)
Killzone and Knack though?
No it isn't. The Xbox problem has been going for a decade. pS5 just has a weak launch. Not the same thing. If we look at 2021, PS looks quality but Xbox looks weak....as of right now anyway. He might be right, but the same problem is with PS as well and he never mentions it. He acts like Xbox is alone.
Exactly. That is the problem, the isssue has been going on for ages.We say it every day on here. We get it. You think things are going to magically change tomorrow? It's so old.
I doubt we will see Horizon nor Gran Turismo next year.No it isn't. The Xbox problem has been going for a decade. pS5 just has a weak launch. Not the same thing. If we look at 2021, PS looks quality but Xbox looks weak....as of right now anyway.
Maybe.I doubt we will see Horizon nor Gran Turismo next year.
BL3 is one of those rare games that's a port up. Xbox One X got assets from Xbox One which is why One Xs assets are lower than PS Pros. Series X is working with those assets. Outside of the assets, it runs really well. Great frame rate and nice bump in physics.Another example of PS5 having more details (Unified ram>Split ram) and this time XSX running better at 120fps.
Voice of reason. No it isn't. The Xbox problem has been going for a decade. pS5 just has a weak launch. Not the same thing. If we look at 2021, PS looks quality but Xbox looks weak....as of right now anyway.
NO ONE CARES for GT. Nothing of value was lost. All self-respect racing fans have moved to Forza or PC sims.I doubt we will see Horizon nor Gran Turismo next year.
