Nobody wants the new Fable to be like 2 or 3. People are hyped for a new Fable experience.

Jade Empire is owned by Bioware. And the Bioware of today a shell of its former self. And they're with EA.
Microsoft Game Studios had published it so I would hope they could purchase the IP. I know Bioware owns it, but if you're investing massively into reboots and new studios, why not one of your best franchises from the original xbox?

2 was a good game. 3 sucked.
Bah. I loved 1 too much, 2 was too watered down for me. If we can get a new experience, I'm all for it.

  1. Halo Infinite stole the show at the close of the conference, showing the Master Chief and a mysterious pilot as they prepare to fight an all-new foe. Debuting a Master Chief model that throws back to the original Halo trilogy and setting the action to the original bombastic music stylings of fomer series composer Marty O'Donnell, the next entry in Microsoft's flagship series looks like it will be everything that players have been asking for. Powered by 343 Studios' state-of-the-art Slipspace Engine, Halo Infinite will be an Xbox Scarlett launch title (in addition to a PC version) when it releases in the holiday season of 2020.
  2. Gears of War 5 will be The Coalition's second crack at the AAA first-party franchise since Epic Game's departure, and it looks as though it's shaping up to be a truly ambitious entry. New E3 footage showed off that on top of the series' beloved campaign experience taking a mysterious turn, there will also be an all-new 3-player mode called Escape. Gears of War 5 will release on Xbox One and PC in 2019.
  3. Cyberpunk 2077 was a huge surprise inclusion at Xbox E3 2019, bringing waiting players a brand new cinematic trailer. Developer CD Projekt Red has been playing their cards close to their chest since last year's extended gameplay demo was shared with the public, and they brought in the big guns today when they brought a breathtaking Keanu Reeves on-stage - after revealing his never-before-seen in-game character - to announce the game's release date. At long last, players now know that Cyberpunk 2077 will launch on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on April 16, 2020.
  4. Psychonauts 2 came completely out of left field today, being revealed directly after it was announced that Xbox Game Studios has officially acquired by Tim Schafer's Double Fine. Looking even more warped and stylish than the original cult classic, the sequel's announcement likely brought great satisfaction to those who grew up exploring the demented psyches of the first game's zany cast of characters. Psychonauts is coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC sometime in 2019.
  5. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order made a surprise appearance towards the beginning of the Xbox E3 showcase, showing off some all-new cinematics and some adorable BD-1 goodness. Also featured were protagonist Cal Kestis and Rogue One's Saw Gerrera, and a whole lot of dead (or soon-to-be dead) stormtroopers. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on November 15, 2019.
  6. The Outer Worlds will put players into the boots of an outer world colonist who has woken from a longer-than-expected spaceflight to find themselves at the epicenter of a power struggle between corporate factions in the isolated Halcyon colony. Being developed by original creators of the Fallout series, Obsidian Entertainment, The Outer Worlds will put player choice at the center of the experience, allowing players to be as helpful, irreverent, or downright rotten as they desire. The Outer Worlds launches on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC in 2019.
  7. Borderlands 3 is bringing the series' trademark brand of wacky, gun-fueled chaos to fans once more, with a new trailer confirming Gearbox Software's promise that players of the renowned loot shooter will have over one billion possible guns to find and a wide assortment of deranged enemies to kill (for their guns, of course). Borderlands 3 releases for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on September 12, 2019.
  8. Elden Ring was announced at Microsoft's presser, and it is the long-rumored collaboration between Dark Souls developer FromSoftware and George R. R. Martin, whose acclaimed A Song of Ice and Firenovel series spawned the phenomenal Game of Thrones TV series. Accordingly, it looks every bit as deranged and amazing as one would expect from either party.
  9. Dying Light 2 got an exciting new trailer at Xbox's showcase, and this time it's not only the zombies that players will need to worry about in Techland's hotly anticipated sequel due to its somewhat civilized setting. As always, nighttime will be the bane of night owl players, as zombies massively grow in number and strength once the sun goes down. Dying Light 2 is coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC in Q2 2020.
  10. Ori and the Will of the Wisps is the follow-up to the hit first-party indie title Ori and the Blind Forest, and it will continue Ori's beautiful platforming journey through artistically unique and alien landscapes. Ori and the Will of the Wisps launches on Xbox One and PC sometime in 2019.
  11. Blair Witch is a devilishly twisted video game reimagining of the original found footage film of the same name, putting players in the unfortunate position of a former policeman who loses himself in the titular Blair Witch's cursed woods on his journey to rescue a missing boy. Blair Witch is coming to Xbox One and PC on August 30, 2019.
  12. Wasteland 3 got a new, wintry trailer at Microsoft's conference, as developer inXile is bringing the long-dormant RPG series to modern players. Set in the harsh cold of the game's post-apocalyptic Colorado Nation, players will navigate a brutal, unforgiving wasteland frozen over by nuclear winter. Wasteland 3will launch on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC in 2019.
  13. Bleeding Edge will be Ninja Theory's first game since being acquired by Xbox Game Studios last year, and it will pit stylishly unique characters against one another in colorful online hack-n-slash multiplayer. This marks a major departure for the studio, whose last game was the critically acclaimed Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, but this new direction for the developer looks like wacky, mechanically interesting fun. Bleeding Edge's technical alpha will launch on June 27, 2019 for Xbox One.
  14. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will let Star Warsfans revisit all nine films as blocky renditions of their favorite characters in the LEGO series' patent brand of fun. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is releasing on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC in 2020.
  15. CrossfireX will be the West's first official taste of the Chinese and South Korean sensation that is Crossfire, the world's most played game in terms of player count. Though the cinematic trailer shown at Xbox E3 was a tad vague, the incredibly popular online shooter will be getting a single-player campaign, battle royale, and exclusive content for Game Pass subscribers when it arrives stateside. CrossfireX releases on Xbox One in 2020.
  16. Microsoft Flight Simulator is a beautifully rebuilt entry for the normally stodgy franchise, and it will allow console players to take to the skies for the first time ever when it releases. Microsoft Flight Simulator launches on PC in 2020 and on Xbox One at an unannounced date.
  17. Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition will allow players to revisit the addictive world of war, now reskinned in gloriously updated 4K textures. Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition is getting a beta soon for Xbox One and PC players.
  18. Battletoads - the game, the meme, the legend - is making its return, and the rad beat 'em up has been fully reimagined for modern audiences.
  19. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is a unique action RPG approach to retelling the epic Dragon Ball Z series, and it's coming to Xbox One and PC in early 2020.
  20. Gears Pop! is an abnormally cutesy take on the normally gritty, testosterone-fueled Gears of War series, but the mix of cuteness and violence seems to work from the cinematic trailer shown. Gears Pop! is coming soon to iOS and Android, with pre-registration available now.
  21. Minecraft Dungeons is an action-adventure game set in the Minecraft universe, and it combines dungeon crawler gameplay with Minecraft's unique voxel style and will allow online and local multiplayer. Minecraft Dungeons is launching on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC in spring 2020.
  22. Phantasy Star Online 2 is making its way to North America for the first time ever, the better part of a decade after its initial 2012 release. Phantasy Star Online 2 will be availabe on Xbox One in 2020.
  23. RPG Time: The Legend of Wright is a super charming homage to traditional RPGs and video games as a medium, employing a papercraft art style that's looks great in its Xbox E3 trailer. RPG Time: The Legend of Wright is coming to Xbox One in spring 2020.
  24. Sea of Thieves continues to evolve, and the sweeping changes that came with its Anniversary Update consistently bring the game closer to Rare's initial vision for the swashbuckling simulator.
  25. Spiritfarer is a visually appealing indie that developer Thunder Lotus describes as "cozy management game about dying." Spiritfarer comes to Xbox One and PC in 2020, with other platforms currently unconfirmed.
  26. Tales of Arise is a new game in the Tales of JRPG franchise, and will follow the stories of dual tale of opposite protagonists on their journeys. Tales of Arise is releasing on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC in 2020.
  27. Twelve Minutes looks like a mind-warpingly fun time, forcing players to relive the same sordid night of mystery over and over again until they discover how to break the loop.
  28. Way to the Woods is a beautiful indie that tasks players, who play as a deer, to escort their fawn through decaying environments, all heightened by an excellent score. Way to the Woods is coming to Xbox One and PC in 2020.
  29. Forza Horizon 4: LEGO Speed Champions is the next major expansion for Forza Horizon 4 and is a clear follow-up to the acclaimed Hot Wheels-themed expansion for Forza Horizon 3. The LEGO Speed Champions expansion launches on June 13, 2019.
  30. Borderlands 2: Commander Lilith & The Fight For Sanctuary is an all-new DLC mission for Borderlands 2, and it's designed to make the lead-in to Borderlands 3 make more sense for the small subset of Borderlands players who play the shooty-gun games for the story. Commander Lility & The Fight For Santuary is available to Borderlands 2 owners now for free.
  31. State of Decay 2: Heartland will be the next paid content for State of Decay 2, allowing players to return to a reimagined Trumbull Valley, the setting of the first game. Heartland is now available for purchase.

I usually don’t get mad about the conferences, but the Banjo reveal at the Nintendo conference really pisses me off. I can understand it if you just announced Banjo 3 at your conference and to keep riding the wave you put him in Smash.

But no!!! 10 plus years Xbox fans have been asking for a new Banjo game and they have the audacity to post online about you asked and we listened when it comes to putting them in Smash.

10 plus years and the first new thing you do with the franchise is shell out the characters to another platform so Nintendo can get all the hype and al the pleasure of using said characters.

It’s complete BS and I get and I fully support them trying to be friends with everyone, but take care of your own first.

I agree.. They've been doing a piss poor job of giving Xbox fans the games we've been requesting for over a decade.

Sometimes it comes down to whether they can work out a deal with whoever owns the IP or publishing rights, and let's face it, Rare hasn't published a third party game on Xbox since 2002 so they must be difficult to get an agreement worked out with.

Gamer: we need more first party studio games with Xbox console exclusives

MS: adds a bunch of new first party studios last year to make games

Gamer: we want those games rushed and we want those studios to make the new games in a year or less

A year or less?

Gamer: (roughly a decade) We want Lost Odyssey 2, Blue Dragon 2, Banjo, Conker, Kameo, Perfect Dark, Alan Wake 2 etc.

MS: (2019) What did you say? Age of Empires?

I think when Phil took the helm in 2017 he is doing what you asked.
Oh? I'm pretty sure Alan Wake 2 and Quantum Break 2 aren't going to be a thing because Phil doesn't want to invest in them. Remedy's Control is a thing because they can't make those sequels. It has Alan Wake's supernatural horror aspect mixed with Quantum Break like focus on powers.

I guess I just meant getting their AAA line up bigger and better.

I have no doubt he will..over time. Like, 'we're in for a wait. But I also think he puts what he personally likes over what Xbox fans have been asking for over a decade.

That's why Mistwalker is still what it is and Remedy is still not on team Xbox.

How weird is it that he promotes having skowered the world for creative talent, to find master story tellers..giving them creative freedom....but turns his nose up at Remedy and their work. They have the stories, history, Xbox fans, but more importantly: They have TWO franchises ready to go in the type of genre that Xbox is severely lacking.

I agree with you on that I’m baffled as to why not just buy devs that they already have fantastic relationships with. But it could be the same reason why Sony hasn’t bought Quantic Dreams or Nintendo with Retro Studios and Game Freak, they’re kinda type cast with their games and their ok with what what they got...I’m just questing here. Mistwalker even went back to artist and composers they used for previous games they made which lead to some loss in creative say by Sakaguchi

Well Remedy is helping the CrossfireX team put together the campaign for Xbox for next year. Not quite Alan Wake 2 though :(

But looking at Control, I don’t think I would be happy that MS invested in that game. But I hope that Control is successful and proves me wrong.

There wouldn't have been a Control if there was an Alan Wake 2 and Quantum Break 2. That's the point. We could've been at an Alan Wake 3 and Quantum Break 2 announcement right now.

Gamer 10 years ago: Where have the games gone?
MS: We hear you and will fix it.
Gamers 5 years later after MS has shed several studios: Where are the f***ing games at?
MS 3 years later: Hey look we bought a bunch of AA studios. Yay!
Gamers:Cool! But their games are years away.
MS: Hey look! Age of Empires and a flight sim, Ninja Theory has a game but we are not showing s***all on it.
Gamers: f*** sake! We don't want that.

It will be interesting to see how they do the controls. While it is possible to fly around on a controller, landing a modern jet is going to be a challenge. Messing around with the cockpit seems like it would be a nightmare with a controller. It can be difficult on PC without customizing a ton of things first.

I haven't played Flightsim in a few years, but I was big into it for many years before that. I would spend hours installing custom programs to just configure ways to make controlling things easier. You'd basically spend more time tweaking and configuring than actually flying.
