Could turn around like Sea of Thieves then.
Definitely. A lot like BF V too. People hated BF V at launch. It wasn't until the Pacific maps came out that it got good.
Could turn around like Sea of Thieves then.
I'll tell you exactly what they are doing. They are planning a relaunch for when the game hits EA Play.Could turn around like Sea of Thieves then.

Agreed. Anyone who played the game for more than a few hours doesn’t deserve anything in my opinion. It’s like demanding your money back because you didn’t enjoy a movie as much as you were hoping. The game is playable, just because you don’t like it doesn’t entitle you to a damn thing. Gamers are really lame sometimes.pretty pathetic, just move on and stop whining

What’s pathetic are big gaming companies that keep putting out broken games and expecting gamers to wait around waiting on them to get their s*** together and keep an online game playable. BF isn’t the only one COD has also had a bunch of issues since Christmas. This s*** is unacceptable I’m starting to get tired of it when it comes to online gaming.pretty pathetic, just move on and stop whining
The problem is the game is a piece of s***. People don't want to wait for months on months just for a game to get where it should have been at launch. The problem is the term "broken" gets thrown around and misused. BF4 was broken. The game didn't work.
BF2042 is much more about design choices that didn't land vs bugs. There are bugs, but I don't think they are the primary issue (maybe more on PC than console). I would say this game had fewer actual bugs than COD/Warzone this fall and many other games. None of the bugs were game breaking. Performance was an issue, as PC players couldn't get massive FPS from their rigs, but again, not quite gamebreaking. The servers were wonky for maybe a couple hours for pre-launch and that got fixed, plus we had two fix patches in the first couple of weeks.
The problem with this game is much different. Also, they had an open beta which showed exactly what the game was. It isn't like they hid what this game was (which is what a lot of people claim).
There's a lot of wrong to go around on both sides. The game launched with no voice and minimal squad features. There's also a mountain of people who just don't like specialists over classes, and that's fair, but it isn't "broken". In my opinion as someone who goes back to BF1942 beta, I liked the changes. People sort of act like classes force people into this ultimate team play mode, which is absolutely insane. We've had too many sniper classes since 1942. There was an Omaha Beach map and most of the US side would snipe and go prone on the beach and never attack. How many decades ago was that?
Again, the specialist thing was 100% known from open beta. Also, contrary to popular belief, you can fill the same class roles in this game, actually more than one. I've spent most of my time as an engineer/medic hybrid and I like it better than rigid classes. I don't have to worry about if my squad is all snipers or something else that doesn't compliment my play. I can fill the team role more and others can go get frags. What's best is I can still equip whatever weapon too, so I'm not limited to a particular gun. Sure, it is a big change. People are entitled not to like it, but don't tell me "the game is broken without classes".
The other issue is they launched with a hybrid Tarkov type mode which was just terrible. They should have skipped that and just put in more main content. Portal is still very cool and the main game is still a lot of fun.
The best they can do is add a simple scoreboard and that was delayed. It's that bad that it has people buying BFV and playing that instead. The problem is the game is a piece of s***. People don't want to wait for months on months just for a game to get where it should have been at launch.
Not even the content creators, who talked absolute garbage for years to makre BFV sound good, have the audacity to defend this game.
The next few updates are garbage anyway, and wont do anything to stop the mass exodus. The best they can do is add a simple scoreboard and that was delayed. It's that bad that it has people buying BFV and playing that instead.
Petition has passed 120,000 signatures already.
BF4 worked, but was a pretty terrible experience for a good half year, but still had the core mechanics which made it great.
This just doesn't feel fun at the moment, who knows they might flip it round, but I doubt it with the current team.
Needs better maps.I'm really hoping they give up on 128 players and rework the smaller versions of the map. Get old gen and next gen together. The next gen 128 player thing isn't better. It is too big and too random to be fun. It works ok on Breakthrough, but just turns into a mess. Conquest is the main mode for the series and plays terribly on big maps. It reminds me of that one massive map on BF V that needed vehicles to get around and played terribly.
Might be a long shot, but enhancing the existing maps and reducing the massive empty areas and maybe even adding some atmosphere would be amazing.
Needs better maps.
Needs more content.
Hazard Zonee needs a complete overhaul.
Specialists have to go.
The gunplay needs overhauling.
Destruction needs adding
This game needs too much. It essentially needs remaking from the ground up.
Not Battlefield. End of.... being able to fill multiple roles...
Just a warning on petitions. Ea doesn't care anyway.
Well it is easy when the consumers are more interested in defending corporations than protecting themselves and speaking up for themselves.Game industry are wild wild west, & operate above jurisdiction, quality control. consumer protection.
What other things in life when you cannot refund if it doesn't work as advertised, or work at all, what other things can got away being unfinished & sold to market & not get into trouble?
An example is Lost ark, me, as well as many bought the starter pack, & some haven't got the pack after days. Amazon refuses to refund. Imagine if you do not even get the product you paid for, let alone satisfied, you are denied a refund?
