I swear that this happens at every launch. Here comes game A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H....and then launch is here...here is game B, E, H.

I probably wasn't going to play it for a bit anyway, but a delay after going gold is sort of weird. I was probably going to spend time in AC anyway and wait for a next gen upgrade anyway.

I'm thinking I will wait a bit for reviews and comments anyway just to be safe. Getting a funny vibe from this game.

Just good enough to pass certification and go gold but way too buggy for them to let anyone play it

Games development must have been quite the mess

Was gonna wait until the actual Xbox Series X version comes out, but come on it's laughable at this point how many delays this game has had. Has a game ever delayed after already going Gold?

Also, man the hype for this game was already unreal. There's no way it lives up to it and CDPR will be heels to the internet.

I was thinking about this the other day before I even heard of the delay. This game has all the warning signs of having tons of issues. Massive hype, previous game was very highly regarded, lots of delays, next gen complications.

I mean, everything could be fine. It just has that "could be bad" vibe.

And with the crazy crunch that is still going on it probably shouldn't even be coming out this year.

I agree that there has to be some legitimate concern now

This further delay at the very least is more evidence supporting those speaking out that CDPR doesn't have its stuff together. And unfortunately this probably means more CRUNCH for some of their developers. I really feel for those guys. Its not so easy to say "no" especially given today's climate of massive job losses across all sectors.

Well that’s put a dampener on an already weak next generation line up in November for me. I may just flip my Series X on eBay. Well my sons haha, I ordered mine through All Access so I’ll have to keep that one.

More time with other games at lauch is fine by me. This is definitely going to help sales for other titles.

Someone on twitter called them CD Ponzi Red. Really starting to feel that way.

Whenever this game is released, the CEO or whoever is in charge, needs to take a hard look at his project managers on the game development side. This is reeking of mismanagement.

I have no issue with delay, but there is a very sickening practice of game developers, of releasing an unfinished game, & patching on day one or later.

When the game has gone gold, they KNEW the game is not ready. They just thought they can patch up before release.

NO OTHER medium will release something unfinished & fix later other than software & even more so games.

Not a shock given how complex it is. Has to be a nightmare to polish

I've seen 2 phenomenons in gaming this year I'd never thought I'd see.

Amazon gave Crucible a full release, then returned it to beta only to cancel it later.
Now CDPR gets Cyberpunk to gold status only to delay it.

I tell you 2020 is something.

I fully expect this game to be as buggy as Witcher 3 was at its inital launch. And I hope that the reviews reflect that fact. Doesn't mean the game won't be eventually good and groundbreaking like the Witcher was but I personally don't see it coming out the gate a polished product.

The idea is to polish, gte the bugs out, then go gold!
I have signed off paper certificating the products I designed ware tested and okay and ready for mass production.

if there are issues after Launch, we have to financially compensate and it can go in millions. Worst, it could mean losing clients in future. Every car recall can be potentially millions In Loses. We took our schedule, testing and approval seriously.

obviously cars and games are different. But it’s not just an issue of different product and challenges, but attitude and mentality.

the Game developers mindset is release, fix later. The reason the have this attitude is gamers allows this.

if gamers start voting this practice out, with our wallets, that we do not accept incomplete or buggy games at launch, you can be sure they change their attitude.

Reading between the lines on the conference call: They can't get it to run well on the base PS4 and Xbox one. Thus the delay.

I'm not sure if that makes me happy or sad.
