Dragon Age: Inquisition - Nov. 18

Question, after Hinterlands, how do you know which next I go (& not get my ass kicked)? I went Stormy coast as its recommended, but there are like at least 5-6 other choices.

The story missions on the war room map will give suggested levels, but other than that you are on your own.

I really,REALLY love some of the managing stuff in this game (originally, this is a feature that was going to appear in Jade Empire and look how long it took for it to be implemented). But -Good Zod- do I loath all the characters around me. Bioware has always made good casts of character but I want to punch in the face all of these people. The Renegade/Good Guy option from ME2 is sorely miss. Oh you don't want to tell me your backstory?! PUNCH!

That's the fun of this game it leaves a lot to be discovered, like i didn't know if i could take a dragon early on like in Skyrim, leasson learnt. I only just unlocked the swamp after finishing Hinterlands but i want to exact my revenge on this story mission first, i just crafted a 2 handed axe, i went from a 124 damage axe all the way up to 195 critical hit max health etc. So some more advice would be to don't be shy in collecting any materials you see, because some schematics require 20 pieces of metal etc.

Has anybody spotted any vendors selling T3 warrior helmet schematics? I have the schematics for the other two classes, but when it comes to Warrior I've still yet to find one. Need to go running around the merchants next time I play maybe.

Hey guys do you think I would like DA if I didnt really like SkyRim? The last RPG I really got into was FFX.
I see alot of people nominated it for thier GOTY and its piqued my interest.

My understanding is this, master works schematics allow for a work to potentially be master-crafted with the right combinations of ingredients. There is nothing that master crafts 100% of the time. 50% is a good ingredient.

What does a master-crafter version have over a non-master-crafted version ?

Did you ever play Mass Effect? Apart from the fantasy element, it is closer to Mass Effect in many ways that it is Skyrim. In Skyrim you're running around a large completely open world on your own following a lot of very different stories alongside the main story. Where is in Dragon Age you are following one big story with a big supporting cast of characters, and the exploration is split up into many different zones cut off from one another and none of them have any real big stories running through, as it all ties into the games main story. Dragon Age is also far more dialogue focused than Skyrim, and conversations are just as important as going around killing things. Apart from the fantasy setting, they are quite different games.

I forget what it was, but there was indeed an ingredient that can guarantee Masterwork 100% of the time. I think it might have been one of the Fade-Touched elements.

No, wait.... I think it was called "Perfect" something-or-other. I only had one, so it definitely isn't common.

No never played Mass Effect. In Skyrim I never knew what I was suposed to be doing and I was abit disappointed by the lack of any grandiose magic spells.

Impossible to say, but FFX is old and would lead me to believe you are not much of a Western RPG fan. What I will say is I did not like Skyrim either, but I am enjoying this Dragon Age.

I actually like these characters better than ME's in a way. Mass Effect had dull characters that you either cared about because you could interact with them, or didn't care at all because they were dull.

Grunt, Jacob, Mordin, Garrix, Kaiden are examples for me of characters that I honestly didn't care all that much for. Nothing about them stood out, like at all. Backgrounds were meh on some, but that was about it.

To me even my least favorite characters in Inquisition are likable to a degree. I thought Verrick was useless and annoying. He's useless in battle, but he has great background so I like talking to him.

This x100

Skyrim was an open world game centered around doing what ever you want. The story was forgettable, no actual character development or anything, so it's literally just do what ever you want.

My cousins say that they've been spoiled by skyrim on PC so they can't play DA. It's funny because all they do is mod the game and don't really do anything. f*** that man, I'd take a good story I'd remember and a unique experience over that any day.

Inquisition has direction, you never feel lost or just don't know what to do. Some people feel that way, but I like the open worldness that also plays into the main story line. It allows you play at what ever pace you choose. It's a great game, I've dumped over 200 hours into it, still not even half way finished.

Hard to say, without knowing what you didn't like about Skyrim. I will say that I've heard several people say they didn't like Skyrim but are liking DA:I. Individual taste is always so unpredictable, though, so who knows.

I don't think Skyrim and DA:I have a lot in common. They feel like very different experiences. Skyrim was a more solitary experience, with emphasis on exploration and immersion in a vast, continuous world. DA:I is a more group-based experience, with a lot more emphasis on character interaction, politics, and party-based combat.

What I got from the ending was not that Solas was an ancient elf but the Elven god Fen'Harel. He had been asleep for so long he no longer had the power to use the orb, thus gave it to Coriphius(sp) because he did have the power. However he realized his mistake and joined the inquisition to fix his lapse in judgement.

That does make it much more interesting, and the change of Solas card does show it to be true. Sow Fen'Harel is the elven god of death that would explain why he is sow interested in the fade, maybe even a being of the fade itself (seeing the card it reminds me about the fade spider that feeds on fear)

Suggested level, where was it shown?

I do not remember seeing it. on the war room map, only power points required on each area.

Not all missions give you recomended levels, i just started one where everyone was level 16 and smoked me. But if you go into the mission it should say on the description on the right hand side. Man i just had a 6 hour session was crazy this game is way too addicting, the sense of progression and the feeling of making a difference in the game is absolutely unrivalled.

Man my first judgement made me laugh out loud! da fuq

the text couldn't be smaller.lol....but thanks.

Yeah I did take screenshot in minimized window since had some errors with program I normally use for screenshots sow used print screen instead

@ Dlc, this game make me unable to do any work on my game. When I try to work on the menu, part of me want to play the game, so I figure it's best to finish this game then restart my work again on my game. Lucky for me, I do not play much game, unfortunately the next game I want to play will be another time sucker witcher 3.

Yeah I know that feeling. Witcher 3 is on my pre-order list.

I'm about 40 hours into this game, I'm at level 14 and only just killed my first dragon, been doing a lot of exploring and screwing around lol. This is by far the best bioware game I have ever played and I'm really glad I bought it.

Hmmm....there is a cave/ruin in Storms Coast and I can not open it. I need to enter it for the Red Lyrium quest, but I find no keys, the astraiums do not open it, and I can find another way in. The door does not even tell you how to get in. Anybody know how to get in ?

It will open later in a side quest from Varric
The quest will show up on War board

Agree with that. It actually feels like you make a difference in the game. I haven't stopped playing it since I got it. The amount of choices you make is massive. Like there are different outcomes to pretty much every situation you face depending on the choices you make.

And kudos to Bioware for releasing a game that's playable.

..

War Room unlocks that area. I know what you mean, I tried everything to get to that area. Also, make sure you're strong enough before you proceed in there, those dudes were tougher than I thought.

Awesome. Thank you, peeps.

As for being strong enough, I am at a point where I fear nothing. My crew are bad ass and my arrows always find their mark. We are an unstoppable force...until we meet a dragon
