The question can't be serious.

lol I havent seen those glamour shots/b-roll before...I remember someone saying that the back wasn’t finalized, I think it may have been Austin Evans, because prior footage had some gaps/empty space... I was hoping for them to add another expansion slot so one could plug in two of their proprietary ssd cards

I think people Say performance for gamer cred. Graphics have always dominated. You think uncharted or Tlou would have been anywhere as popular? Sony sells the most first party games any they are all 30. And not always stable at that.

Most of the PS4 1st party games have been stable 30 unless they came from smaller teams, even games that had some issues at launch like Days Gone had them resolved fairly quickly.

People who say that all games have to be 60fps are entitled to their opinion but they don't speak for the majority of consumers out there, when people talk next gen they mean graphics more than anything. It'd be nice to get a big boost visually and a higher framerate but for most types of games people will appreciate the visual punch more than an extra 30fps. Just make sure it's a solid 30fps and things are generally fine.

Maybe it won't work out for Microsoft financially and obviously they would raise the price at some point but that doesn't matter much to me because its good value now. More so if game prices increase for no good reason. If Sony said they were putting their games on PS Now day 1 Val would be singing its praises in every post.

I do think its weird how people act like it gamepass starts to take off big every company is going to stand in the streets applauding them and not creating their own competing services.

EA already has one, Ubisoft has one on PC etc the more 3rd parties end up doing it the less content there will be for GP as well, the majority of the games currently on it are 3rd party along with a ton of 360 and original xbox games to help pad the numbers a bit. I'm not saying it's a terrible service to have as an option but to make it the focus just seems like it's not something that'll work out long term IMO.

The reason I talk about things in the future is that's what this whole thing is for, to set up a future where they lock you in and get a monthly payment from you regardless of the quality or quantity of titles the release. If they lock you in for a year at the price they charge now that's the same as buying two new AAA games, what incentive would they have to release more than that a year? especially when they have to pay for 3rd party content as well? I know Booty said they would focus on "high end AA titles" and that's fine to a degree but still the price is going to have to go up at some point, they are willing to lose money now to get people in but eventually it's going to have to start making money.

Anyone else notice the only GP down players in here have a common Sony theme about them. Hmmmm.

Or the people who like it have an xbox theme lol, kind of a silly point. I've had the service, not enough content that appealed to me to keep it. I've either already played all of the games that are on it that I want to play. I used it as a cheap way to play Gears 5 and Crackdown 3.

Only big publishers can do their own though. Which there aren't many of.

If quality and quantity suffers, so will their sub base. It isn't like GP will be the only way to get games. Infact, it will be exactly like it is now. You don't like GP you don't use it and you buy your games, or sub to a competing service.

Xbox says it can do all of the visuals at 60+ fps, and in come the 30 fps defense force. Incredible! How about this, doubters? Maybe let the games come out and THEN decide if they took any visual hits.

I've been wanting on a mostly 60fps console since I was a teenager. Higher frame rate to me = next gen. We already have UHD 2160p with HDR now. 4K/60 is the next logical step. Full stop! There is finally a console maker listening to the gamers. Sorry, this 30fps is enough is just nonsense!

They have services but none of them are really competing. A scenario where gamepass became the "netflix of gaming" would have to require some kind of response unless people are still just as willing to buy $60-70 games.

The incentive would be that most people aren't going to buy more than two xbox exclusives. Now whether they have incentive to create big budgets is a different story.

30fps is enough most of the time.

No, it can't do all the visuals at 60fps. You can always do more if you have double the frame time. It has nothing to do with "next gen" and everything to do with how to spend your processing budget.

That's why you will still get 30fps. Because its playable and you can push the boundaries of visuals. It's a choice and I for one don't mind it it they blow the visuals out of the water.

Every gen could be a 60fps gen if they wanted to dial down the visuals. PCs are too variable, so that's why you get super high framerates on some games (though lots of people have to turn off effects to get 60fps)

We are all arm chair quarterbacks.

But if you were Phil and you wanted to move Xbox into a new and proper direction, what would you do? What would you do differently than he has? And when you are at a conference table of fellow workers and also have to report to the CEO, how would you balance all their feedback and CEO requirements?

Would you use a marker board and go through with everyone and look at what needs to change, gamer feedback, etc and look at that list of thousands of things and start to prioritize them?

How would you run Xbox and run Marketing?
Nobody want to tackle this question? I thought it was rather good.

I'd buy SEGA and make the Dreamcast 2.

Nothing but win. Easy peasy.
Well, that was short, but sweet. But I was thinking more along the lines of you posting at least a small business plan PDF, generally about 500 pages worth of information.
