I'll be getting that come the 20th, I have 65000 reward points that MS will be depositing. My family loves the Lego games.crikies, Lego Batman has took a bit of a dive from previous Lego games.

Chart-Track said 52 per cent of Unity's sales were on PS4, with Xbox One taking 46 per cent and PC two per cent. It should be noted that Chart-Track does not keep tabs on download sales.
Everyone I know actually only buys digital btw because of sharing, which is about 30 copies.
Also anyone arguing Sold Through vs Sold In remember this, Sony has no accurate way to track sold through numbers it's all guesstimate.
Are you talking about MS closing the 1 million+ sales gap in the US? If so, I haven't seen any PR or articles to suggest that, including the one you're referencing. They've outsold Sony for two weeks, but no one knows what the differential is.
no no no.......
the article starseeker posted is saying that MS has shipped 10 million consoles to Sony's 13.5 million. other articles on the web is saying MS sold 10 million consoles to Sony's 13.5 million. but, the original statement ( http://news.xbox.com/2014/11/xbox-one-sales-on-the-rise ) says that this was shipped only to retail and shortly.
my question: how do you define "shortly" in Yusuf's definition?
the worldwide lead by Sony was setting around the 5+ or even the 6 million mark. MS won two weeks..........only in the states for the entire year while losing everywhere else.
[....] so i'm not getting how the gap has become so narrow in so little time as the headlines seem to eagerly point out.

Close the gap? I heard they now have a 3mil lead on PS4. Could just be a rumor though.MS was able to close the gap in two weeks?
Hmmmm....
I don't want to say Sony is going to take Dec in the states (dampening sales probably), but with this PlayStation Experience on the 6th and 7th, i'm thinking that it is an event that should probably not be underestimated. I just find it way too suspicious why they would host something this large, a few weeks before Christmas, right on MS's turf.
E3 (and events similar to E3) have never had a major impact on sales -- at least not during the same month as the event itself.
It looked worse when you think that X1 sold 150,000 during launch period in 2013 & PS4 is widely unavailable until April in Germany. in 2014 til August with 3-4 months of no PS4, X1 manage to sell only 20,000, even with some good bundles & price drop (mostly from retailers). By contrast, only decent bundle from Sony is the destiny bundles.Console sales status in Germany

You have to pay to get into the event. Only people who already own the PlayStation are going to go to that. It's not on MSs turf, it's in Las Vegas. Nobody who doesn't already have a PlayStation is going to shell out $55 to go to a PR event. They'd spend that on a Playstation game.I don't want to say Sony is going to take Dec in the states (dampening sales probably), but with this PlayStation Experience on the 6th and 7th, i'm thinking that it is an event that should probably not be underestimated. and Kvally still thinks EUROPE is Micro/Sony Land.

Germany = Europe?
~10 million is half of ~15 million?Well the 'best mind' of the field did not know that having a huge price premium, having kinect & lower spec will affect sales & result in games of lower spec compare to competition, while your 'average' gamers have known these & called for them to act.
'Best mind' MS is now about 1/2 the sales of PS4. So much for 'best mind'.
So who are actually out of touch with reality?
Maybe MS should hire more 'average' people instead.
Anyway, as a senior developer, I can tell you its not just about how 'smart' the people are. Its about what you are given to work with, & also relative to the competition. You can give F1 world champion Vettel a golf 1.2, & he will not beat a another pro (that's isn't as good) driving a Golf GTi. MS hire top people, but Sony didn't hire idiots also.
Argentina did not lose to Germany in world cup final because they are not good, its just that Germany is better. More people bought PS4 over X1 not because X1 was bad, its just that most think Sony PS4 was better.
Its just combination of poor decisions & perhaps some arrogants & misleaded market studies by MS, plus Sony good decisions & effort that is the result of the hardware disparity & massive gulf in sales we have today.
MS did not sell 10 millions. MS said they will shortly ship 10 million to retailer.~10 million is half of ~15 million?
