What are you playing this weekend?

New update has me addicted to Vampire Survivors again, I'll probably sink a little more time into it.

For some reason last night I had the urge to finally start Mirror's Edge (I've had it installed since getting EA+ last gen). I'd forgotten it received both a X1X upgrade, HDR, and FPS boost. Up close surfaces certainly are showing their age, but the visuals still hold up quite well with the patches. Will check it out a little more.

Will likely play some Skyrim and Dead Space as well.

Mirrors Edge still looks great thanks to its artistic design. Personally, thought the open world direction for Catalyst was a mistake.
 
Still on Dead space. Now chapter 7. Hopefully, I will finish by march.
 
Manage to hit chapter 10 on deadspace. I had a prolong gaming section last night. They are right that there is a difficulty spike in the later chapters. The mobs keep coming & there is zero place (chapter 9) to buy ammo/healthpack or access your storage.
Thankfully I farmed the sht out of credits (at least 3 hours) & upgrade many of the guns & suit. & have lots of healthpacks.

The turret shooting are very clunky, & so far there are 2 turret sections, that are pain in the S. the zero gravity sections mostly sucks, & I often got hit by mobs without knowing where the shots came from due to hard to orientate. Annoying.
good thimg is that the save points are very generously spread.

I did heard from a speed runner that only weapons you have in inventory are dropped. I will try only carry the wepaons I need to use next round.

It's solid for early access. I haven't tried online yet, just some local matches against the AI. I'll definitely be playing a ton of it once the career mode is added.

It's legitimately 4K/60fps with the X1X upgrade combined with FPS boost with dev created HDR, it looks surprisingly great still. I was having a great time until I got to a couple combat required segments, sorta took the wind out of the game's sails for me, but I'm sure I'll play some more at some point.

Finished up the main questline in Skyrim with my present character build, working on the Dragonborn expansion now. My character is insanely overpowered to the point that I get mad if I don't kill a humanoid character in one hit. I'm already trying to decide on my next character build.

Damn I’m at like 30 hours again in game still haven’t done much of the main quest (what I originally intended to do). It’s so easy to get side tracked in this game lol.

I think this is my 5th or 6th character since the game released on 360, but only the 2nd time I've actually completed the main quest and expansions. I'm usually far more interested in upgrading, looting, and getting better gear.

Yep that is what gets me every time and by the time I get further in the main quest I’m OP and burnt out on the game.

My pc is kaputt. Cannot start windows. Tried most YouTube “remedies” but did not work. Cannot find a previous rollback for reasons.

Will try to see if I can boot from USB. If that failed, I need to arrange the pc to be send for repair ( under warranty). Need to go to a friend house later who has a pc to create the boot USB.

I have a work laptop but not allow to run exe file needed to create the boot USB. Ie even boot up my 2008 laptop running vista but the windows boot USB program wouldn’t run (due to being 32 bits)

So without luck, I wouldn’t be playing any game for a while.

manage to get my PC up again, but I have to reinstall everything again. Just 100s over the software I needed, Should be done in a week or 2...lol

I finally caught a decent sale for Spec Ops: The Line on the Xbox store. I've wanted to play this for several gens of consoles at this point. I fired it up just to see how it looks, pretty outdated (not surprising considering it's an 11 year old 360 game). I'll probably drop the diffculty down to easy just so I can blast through the story to finally experience it.

I’ve always heard good things about that games story. Never got around to playing it myself.

The pain in the S is finding the cd key, passwords of all the software, & setup up custom menu like in my Zbrush. Also looking for where to download my non "software as a service bs" office 2019.

Then set up black magic Resolve (video editing) back which use some database sht instead of regular save files.
Have to also download all the stupid launcher, like Autodesh, Adobe, steam, Blizzard. Also clip art studlio which I also have custom pelette.
Then alos the 3d printing software....

BuT I done with the anti visus & the safety stuff, AMD laucher, & of couse epic launcher, & resinstall Fortnite
I never visit melicous sites (porn, illegal streaming, download) on my PC, as the effort to fix merlicous popup, ads, virusis too much (from experience), buts still I have to clean PC every day.

My PC is a powerhouse of apps and gaming, video editing, sound editing, 3, & 3D print design, game development (Unreal Engibe)but pain in the ass to setup from stratch. due to the amount of software I use. All original no less.

Great game IMO. I played it like 10 years ago but I will always remember it.

I am presently surpise the online shop Agando I bought my PC still have the windows key from the PC I bought 2 years ago.
I spec the components & they fix the components, install windows & send me the PC with 3 years warranty.
The original location (at least the call centre) seems to be U.K since the contact telephone is +44. I never called, I just email, & surprised at the speed and helpfullness of reply.

I thought it was a blind shot asking to have the original windows 10 pro key or a new one after I did a clean reinstall. They actually give me one, & it worked!!
I will install steam later tomorrow & hopefully complete ded space soon. At chapter 10 now. 2 more to go.
