I am still so pissed off. I spent an hour and 10 minutes refreshing pages to get an order. I was just about to quit when I saw people getting orders. But I got one, and there were no issues with it, the order went right through.
Now I might not even get one? Hopefully just Amazon covering their asses, but this shouldn't even be needed.
My thought now is how small are the stock they are getting? Is there going to be really small numbers of next gen consoles? It feels that way. I honestly can't imagine a ton of casual gamers are scrambling for these things. As others have said, previous gens were never this crazy. On top of things, the mid gen consoles exist which should make the demand even less.

Amazon sent the same emails for both the PS5 and Series X/S to just cover their ass for such a high demand item. Everyone who ordered will get them on time unless something crazy happens during these last few weeks of production.
Or they could get in on other waves.
Some are getting PS5 around 11-30 for example.
I pre-ordered 360 in the summer and had to wait a week to get it...wave 2 bs.
No f***er. DAY ONE.That's sort of the point of a pre-order. We pre order and they hold one for us when they get them.
I was most definitely one of the first to get it on Amazon. I got same email. I'll probably end up cancelling that one and using my BB pre-order.
Not sure why anybody who "got one" wouldn't get one. Surely they only sold the amount they were alloted.
You'd think that, but I ended up getting the last two console pre-orders a few days after launch, and a week after launch. Eventually, yeah.
I wish I got another order somewhere to hedge my bets. Amazon better keep me at the top of the line. We had to be the first people in to get one on their site.
I'm starting to wonder if the inventory is just really low. We saw physical retailers only had a couple to sell. I can't remember it ever being this hard to preorder a console. Everything I read all over seems like everyone had the same experience as us.
I suppose I can wait a week or so. Would be nice to get one before Thanksgiving.
At least the Destiny DLC drops that same day, and I play mostly on PC anyway so I guess it isn't a big deal. I'll probably get Cyberpunk on PC as well.

I'm thinking this is it. I think they are really struggling to get consoles manufactured. Seems like things aren't much better for Sony either.
I follow a bunch of deal sites on Twitter and I have not seen any new orders popping up.
They'll likely do this again tho....and it's the reason I won't pre-order stuff from BB (MS Store and I believe Amazon do not do this). I probably told this story before but when OG Xbox One came out, I preordered from Best Buy and these charges kept coming up on my debit card (I purposefully didn't have a credit card then due to reasons)....well, I was on vacation and my debit card balance got below $525 (or whatever $500 + tax was back then) and BB did their "hold" charge and then sent me a message that their was insufficient funds (the console wasn't launching for another 3 months mind you and I had set aside $$ to deposit a week or so before launch). Being on vacation, I wasn't really paying attention to e-mail and they ended up canceling the order. Luckily, I was able to order from the MS store with same debit card and didn't have any of those problems. I still shop at Best Buy but I don't do pre-orders there at all. I check my order every day at the MS store just to make sure they didn't cancel it. All good so far.
