Ori and the Blind Forest

Anyone else having issues suspending this game? Always messed up when I turn the Xbox back on. This seems to happen to me with most games honestly, but this one seems the worse.

The suspend function has always given me problems with game saves/progress. I no longer use it and just go dashboard -->quit game to be safe.

I always quit my games and apps before I shut down. Mainly because like you said, there's always some stupid issues when I do that. Now it just turned into an OCD thing lol.

Got the double jump last night. Now I can really move!

Next Skill--bash attack-- is better.
Is that the skill you have to use in the water rising part? If so, that thing does look awesome. Also, I'm already afraid of that part being extremely difficult.

That part was pretty tough, but mostly trial and error. Whenever I replay this game, I bet I'll nail it in a couple tries.

Although I haven't completed it yet, this is going to go down as one of my favorite game of all time. Yes, I'm serious.

Just missed an area in Forlorn Ruins that I can't go back to. Someone just put me out of my misery already, what a bunch of bulls*** lol.

How the f*** are people finishing this with zero deaths? I mean, it's not super hard or anything, but without dying once? Seems impossible.

Edit: Nevermind, just read you can cheese it.

I'm at 73% complete, 6 and a half hours, 182 deaths. I bet I could complete it with 5 deaths or less though next time honestly. But no deaths, that's just insane. Most of my deaths come from trial and error, not knowing what exactly to do. Once you figure things out, that next playthrough should be pretty smooth.

Yes, you do need it there.

That part isn't all that difficult. You will die a couple of times, but if you pay attention to how things act, it shouldn't be too big a problem.

Good to know. I think I'm almost there, so should be seeing for myself soon.

So for people who have played both, how does this game compare to rayman legends?

Honestly, fun factor alone they are both two of my favorite platformers ever. This game does a better job of progression, with abilities, a better sense of exploration, graphics, music. Rayman is probably better as far as old fashioned platforming goes, and more content. That's a really tough question, but I'll remember my experience with Ori, more so than with Rayman I suppose. Rayman has better replay value also. I love Ori, it's one of the best experience I've had in a long time, and I will replay it. But Rayman, I played that for a couple months.

I'm at the end, I think I'm just going to beat it. I'd love to keep grinding and exploring, but I just want to see the ending lol.

Almost finished with my second playthrough.

Wow. How fast was your first one and what are you at now?

The game clock for my first play through was right around 14 hours, with my "real world" hours being right around 24 hours. This playthrough is at just past 4 hours on the game clock and I'm right at the entrance to the last "dungeon".

I died more times trying to bash my way around these fireball-shooting orbs over a bed of red hot rocks than I have in the whole game so far. That s*** took some near flawless timing to get across.

But after about 6 hours, this game is amazing. The graphics and art are gorgeous, controlling Ori is tight and responsive, the combat is fun, and the platforming is damn near perfect. I say "near" because I play with the d-pad except when I have to aim Ori with Bash, the d-pad doesn't allow precise aim so I have to quickly move my thumb to the control stick for better direction. It just feels awkward especially when I'm in a hurry to move Ori out of danger.

I finished my 2nd playthrough at 100% in just over 5 hours. Now I only have two achievements left: beat it in less.than 3 hours, and do it without upgrading abilities. Oh man!

How is that even possible?

You can do it, you just can't put points intoyour skill trees.

Oh yeah, I forgot that you get your abilities from the trees, lol. I kept thinking, "how can you do it without the triple jump or sticking to walls, or the bash, or the throw thingie"
