Blocking cross platform play is a bit unfair, that only lasted a short time and MS didn't start doing it until they once again came in 3rd and needed some good will. MS started live to make sure people on xbox only played with other people on xbox and maybe PC and so they could be the first one to charge for online play. Sony was also giving free games before xbox and never charged to play free to play online games. You are right both companies pull s*** but when it comes to online stuff I think MS has been the bigger offender.Fascinating.
I remember a $600 PS3.
Blocking cross platform play.
And paying to keep exclusives off other platforms.
I guess I just have a vivid memory of both platform holders pulling s***. Don't care how often....they both have done and both are capable of doing it often or not as often.
Interesting to know that Sony can do no wrong in your eyes.
The paying for exclusives is something all 3 companies do and it does suck when it comes to 3rd parties, keeping others from playing a game I can play doesn't do anything to benefit me. I don't know why Sony paid for that timed exclusivity for those two bethesda games, the Tokyo whatever it is looks like it should be a free PS+ game and the other one looks like it could be fun but there was no reason to pay to keep that from xbox players, it's not going to be a big game. The thing is MS also pays for exclusives but it's a practice I wish both would stop engaging in.
